Market Friday

A post for Market Friday hosted by @dswigle, if you haven't followed her yet you should she is one of the kindest and most supportive people here on Hive, a comment from her is like a ray of sunshine on your page.
This is the one tag and challenge that I always make a point of joining, and also look through the posts of others that join the challenge and seeing markets from all around the world.

For this weeks post, I will share a few shots I took the other morning, while waiting for the supermarket to open, just across the car park from the Supermarket is this little strip of shots

I guess this would be called a strip mall, aka a strip of shops with some parking around it

Beside the road across from the mall was this little Bank of America hmmm building I guess I could call it, a walk through ATM machine, handy if you need some cash while out shopping at the strip mall

There is a branch of T-mobile at this mall, I have bene using T-Mobile for my cell phones ever since I moved to the states, well when I got here it wasn't T-Mobile it was Voicestream, I have considered switching to another provider at times, but have stuck with them as I have had good service where I have lived and a good deal grandfathered back to being with them so long

Wow it seems I had a virtual tour there. I liked to see colorful logos. Bank of America is a familiar name to me and each and every logos looks so sharp in these photos

T-Mobile, that's in Nigeria here is called Airtel I guess, if that's isn't something different. Moreover, these are excellent shots.

T-Mobile is currently Telekom (formerly T-Mobile) in my country (in Hungary). It is interesting that they have a completely different name in Nigeria. By the way, we have Vodafone too. And Yettel (formerly Telenor). These are the three main phone and mobile internet service providers in my country.

Wow, I believe they all operate under the same company. Thanks so kindly for your reply.

Airtel is a cellular service provider like T-Mobile but not part of the same company

Just like @shohana1 said, while I scrolled through, it felt like I was on a virtual tour with you, I guess it actually is lol.

The names of the store or business place caught my attention. It got me thinking this; *"Jessica, if there would ever be a time you make up a mind to start your business, you can just name the business Jessica's Hair and Glam place. Well, I don't know if it makes sense lol, what do you think?

I wouldn't like to leave here without complimenting your photography skills.😊

This was an interesting trip to the shops...

I found it quite interesting to see the address on the door of the nail salon, showing Kempton St. as the address. We have a town in the area of Johannesburg, called Kempton Park. It's "just around the corner" from where I grew up. Interesting to see you have a street with the same name there...lol.

Thanks for sharing your photos.

Thanks and that’s interesting
I have seen the name Kempton in a few places and looked it up a while back

The family name Kempton is one of the oldest Anglo-Saxon names of Britain. It was originally a name for a person who worked as a person whose father was a knight or soldier.

Very interesting, I didn't know that. Maybe Kempton Park's name has something to do with Britain's history here in South Africa. I'll look it up too.

I see according to Wikipedia, the (then) farm owner, Karl Friedrich Wolff, subdivided his farm and established Kempton Park as a new town in 1903, with the name Kempten, after a German city in Bavaria where he was born. The name later became Kempton Park under British influence.

Great overview of this strip mall… peaceful now all is still closed 😉😎
I’m still fascinated with the drive through stores and banks and… so many things they have in the US. Pretty cool to see.
Have a wonderful Friday @tattoodjay 👋🏻

Awesome shots!
I guess you came too early, the shops were still closed. But in return, we're treated to this beautiful virtual tour from you.
The water stand is so interesting. I wonder if you fill it up by yourself with your container or they would provide the container for you.

Most of my photo walks are early mornings when everything is shut

From what I understand you can return used big bottles and buy full ones

That means you're the first customer in the supermarket. 😅
That's nice though, no other customers so less bothering. 😂

Recycling. That's great initiative!

Aw man, those are pretty neat. There's a "drive thru" bank up near Strasburg that is geared toward horse and buggies for the Amish community. Those little standalone banks are 'cute', is what I think the word is.

Loving the sky here. I like how you presented this without people focusing on the shops even more. Happy #MarketFriday!

Strip Malls don't always have such nice stores, you are lucky! Some of the ones I have seen have loan stores, hock shops, and nail salons. Sometimes a little corner store.

I have seen the stand-alone water stands, but, usually only at places where their water is not that drinkable or has to be filtered. Florida had them, but it was generic water. Rocky Mountain was popular in Rhode Island when I was there last, although what I saw were refill stations. Is this a refill station? Super cool, yes?

It is always nice to go around with you. I love the area and am so happy for you that you chose to go there (of course the kids were a great incentive!) as you seem so very happy with all there is to do. Strip malls were big and then they migrated to malls and now it seems they are going back to a sort of strip mall with more stores and I almost want to call them outside malls.

Seems like we are backpedaling which is fine with me. I like it better when I don't have to walk a whole mall to get something. ;) I know! Lazy, right? Thank you for participating in #MarketFriday! I appreciate the time and effort that goes into putting a post together for the challenge. It is with great pleasure that I read through and realize how much we have all tried to include things in our world that may be unique to the area. I have learned so much about the different cultures of the world, especially the small things that go unnoticed except by those looking for them. Life is interesting, wherever you are, whatever you are doing. I hope the week has found you healthy and happy, as we all look to prosper in our way of life.

Fridays are all about the #MarketFriday Challenge! Looking to take part in it?

Rules of the Road to Join #MarketFriday!

Go to the market, or anywhere that you pay money for a service. Museum, art gallery, bowling, barber shop, or hairdresser. Cultural event. You are allowed to think outside the box!
Take pictures! Be creative!
Tell us a little bit about the market or the event. Where is it? What brought you there? What did you buy? How much did it cost? Was it expensive? Did it go up or down? I don't need 50 pictures unless you are willing to explain them all.
Post the pictures. Of course, you should tell a little bit about the ones you post. What seems obvious to you may not be obvious to all.
Use the MarketFriday Community Platform to post (#hive-196308) This is not required but appreciated.
PLEASE Drop the link into the MarketFriday comment section so I can find it!!
Following me and reblogging the post would be appreciated, but not a rule, more vision for more views on the #MarketFriday posts!
