Market Friday Midas

Market Friday Midas

A post for Market Friday hosted by @dswigle, if you haven't followed her yet you should she is one of the kindest and most supportive people here on Hive, a comment from her is like a ray of sunshine on your page.
This is the one tag and challenge that I always make a point of joining, and also look through the posts of others that join the challenge and seeing markets from all around the world.

For this weeks post, you may wonder from the first photo or the thumbnail which of course are the same, how this cane be a Market Friday post, but trust me to a degree it is, The second shot will show the market, and I will explain more before it, but this is a view from just beside the market I will talk about briefly.

OK let me talk about the market, which in this case is a Midas Garage and I was there to get an oil change and tire rotation, now i could possibly save a few dollars if I was to go to a dedicated tire shop and garage for the oil change, but for me is convenient to get both done at the same time, plus just beside the Midas shop is a stream and small park, so while they are doing the work if the weather permits I can take a stroll.

this shot of the store was while I was waiting for them to open.

THis is the little stream right beside Midas, watching and hearing the water flow down here is nice and relaxing

Further up the stream is a small waterfall

And int he little park is this view across the marsh, just after this shot it started raining, so I headed back to Midas and waited in the waiting room till my car was done.

Such a nice diversion while waiting for your car. My old oil change had a greasy spoon nearby with massive breakfast burritos. Not the healthiest place to wait but I did enjoy it 🙄 I'm fascinated by the carnival in the background looks like a ferris wheel and at least one other big ride. Is it a permanent amusement park?

yeah walking here is perhaps healthy than greasy food LOL
that carnival was in the car park at the mall for just a couple of weeks

Big fan of some of the reflections in the water shots. Around here, it's Jiffy Lube that seems to be the big bang for the buck. They will also do oil change and tire rotations together. Nice to get it done at one spot.

That's awesome that they have something so commercial in such a beautiful area. I think I would spend more of my time outside the shops versus inside the shops! Awesome shots! Thanks for sharing!

Yay!! You know I love the markets that are different! I try to mix it up a bit so people can see it is okay to stretch the idea of how we post. So thank you and what a great idea using Midas for both. A one-stop shop. I will admit I still bring mine to the dealership, they offer up doing it for super cheap. They must know I am a one-trick pony and the car came from them, so that is where it goes back to.

That river looks swollen with the water, must be that spring thaw thing! What a wonderfully lush and abundant place to go for a walk! I hope all went well with your car!

I think it is important that you know how much I appreciate the time and effort put into posts. Thank you for your participating in #MarketFriday! I enjoy learning about your world and how it is to live in it. I find it interesting to compare standards, but, more than standards, by how we find the quality of our life with different indicators that the world does. It is not always about the wealth in money, but includes many other things including being as healthy as possible, being educated, but, not necessarily in school. I feel like a person is educated if they aquire knowledge and use it for the better good and happiness of the society they are living in. It is with great pleasure that I read through this and all of the posts, with these thoughts in mind.

I want to thank you for giving me the opportunity to get to know you and your piece of the world just a little bit better. I have learned so much about the different cultures of the world, I especially love the small things in life and make a point to give them notice. Life has been interesting for me this week, and I hope your week has found you happy and healthy, as we all look to prosper in our way of life.

I have learned so much about all of you and it has been an amazing experience. I can only hope that learning about each other can help us work together for a peaceful world. Please take the time to read a couple #MarketFriday posts and leave a genuine comment behind. It is important to interact within the community, allowing for others to bond with each other. The fun is in getting to know people and making a positive contribution to community life. I am pretty sure that is why I joined Hive. All this fun and money too. What if not to love?

Fridays are all about the #MarketFriday Challenge! Looking to take part in it? Here is how:

Rules of the Road to Join #MarketFriday!

  1. Go to the market, or anywhere that you pay money for a service. It can be a movie, an auction, or even a museum. Wherever money is exchanged for a service or product.
    Take pictures! Be creative!
  2. Tell us a little bit about the market or the event. What brought you there? What did you buy? How much did it cost? Was it expensive? Did it go up or down? A scroll of pictures with few words doesn't usually work.
  3. Post the pictures. Of course, you should tell a little bit about the ones you post, it is too difficult to guess about some.
  4. Use the MarketFriday Community Platform to post (#hive-196308) This is not required but appreciated.
PLEASE Drop the link into the MarketFriday comment section so I can find it!!
  5. Following me and reblogging the post would be appreciated, but not a rule, more vision for more views on the #MarketFriday posts!
    7. You must put #MarketFriday by @dswigle somewhere on your post.

As always, please remember! #MarketFriday loves you!

Well you do know I like to mix it up and stretch the rules LOL

I used to go to the dealership in Milford more out of habit than anything, but the one here isnt as efficient and way over priced when I compared prices so now I am using Midas the bonus of course this nice spot to stroll rather than sitting and waiting for the service to be done
