Market Friday Mattapoisett

A post for Market Friday hosted by @dswigle, if you haven't followed her yet you should she is one of the kindest and most supportive people here on Hive, a comment from her is like a ray of sunshine on your page.
This is the one tag and challenge that I always make a point of joining, and also look through the posts of others that join the challenge and seeing markets from all around the world.

For this weeks post, I am sharing a few shots I got one morning, as I was heading back from an early morning visit to the Mattapoisett Town Beach.

As I was driving back I came by the Mattapoisett Diner.

I do love these style of diners that are all around the country.

so often when I do a Market Friday post, I will mention either that I have never been in the shop or it is closed, this is a rare one where it is both open and I have been in there, after taking the shots I share today and noticing that the diner was Open, I popped in there and had a quick breakfast of bacon and Eggs with Toast and I really did enjoy it.

Also in this spot was the Lebanese Kitchen, a place I haven't eaten at yet, but I do plan to, I love Lebanese food I got a taste for it when I worked in Lebanon for a few years and I am always hoping to find a place that does good authentic Lebanese food.

It's always fun to explore new restaurants and try different types of cuisine. I hope you had a enjoyable breakfast at the diner and are able to try out the Lebanese Kitchen in the future.

Dear @dandays Not you too!! I already pay Jay plenty to say that! I am so touched you read it and find it worthy to reply to... or are you pulling the noose tighter to make me perform, you know, throwing a ray out there?

Happy Friday, Dan! Happy Friday @tattoodjay

I am with you on that! I love American Diners! It's a thing, I know. I would rather have breakfast in a diner than in most places. Perhaps it is because I grew up in New England? Breakfast = diner. Even their coffee is good, but, I can't count on you to back me up on that. :)

I have long noticed that the diners are not fancy or modern, if they were, they might become suspect, yes? It has to look like it has been around since the 50s or 60s... some of them probably have.

I like the different angles used on the buildings and most of all, I like that you shed some light on diners! And Lebanese Food. An often overlooked cuisine. Thank you always for taking the time to participate in the challenge!

I try to let people know how much I appreciate their participation in #MarketFriday! Even though I get many on a weekly basis, each one is read and enjoyed. By now, you must know how much I enjoy learning about the world and how it is to live in your corner of it, and, make yours or mine better in any way. I have been given hints to make life nicer, and recipes to make dinner interesting. I find it interesting to compare, not by the world's standards, but, by how we find the quality of our life with different I enjoy learning more about you and hope you feel the same.

Fridays are all about the #MarketFriday Challenge! Looking to take part in it? Here is how:

Rules of the Road to Join #MarketFriday!

  1. Go to the market, or anywhere that you pay money for a service. It can be a movie, an auction, or even a museum. Wherever money is exchanged for a service or product.
    Take pictures! Be creative!
  2. Tell us a little bit about the market or the event. What brought you there? What did you buy? How much did it cost? Was it expensive? Did it go up or down? A scroll of pictures with few words doesn't usually work.
  3. Post the pictures. Of course, you should tell a little bit about the ones you post, it is too difficult to guess about some.
  4. Use the MarketFriday Community Platform to post (#hive-196308) This is not required but appreciated.
PLEASE Drop the link into the MarketFriday comment section so I can find it!!
  5. Following me and reblogging the post would be appreciated, but not a rule, more vision for more views on the #MarketFriday posts!
    7. You must put #MarketFriday by @dswigle somewhere on your post.

As always, please remember! #MarketFriday loves you!

What a cool old diner. That's the old school stuff right there. There used to be one kind of like that in a town I would pass through from time to time here in Michigan. I don't know if it is still even open. Can't say as though I have ever had Lebanese food. Is there a big Lebanese population in that area?

There was an old run down diner in MIlford where i lived in CT, I always hoped it would have been restored but in the end it was sold and transported somewhere in fact I think it was to Michigan it went to

I lived in Lebanon for 3 years so got the taste of the food there, I dont think there are many here, this is the only Lebanese place i have seen

I love diners and especially for breakfast 😋 We used to get a huge platter of baklava from my wife's Lebanese grandpa every Christmas so I always thought it was Lebanese. But I think it is actually Greek or Turkish.

Ohh me to
