Greenery at the fort

Greenery at the fort

Good Morning and have a great day

If you’re looking for a cool outdoor escape in New Bedford, MA, lace up your sneakers and head to the very edge of the city. Fort Taber Park isn’t just a history lesson; it is a sprawling, 50-acre emerald sanctuary that offers some of the most refreshing walking paths in Southern Massachusetts.
The park features a seamless, mile-long paved loop that is perfect for a breezy power walk or a slow, contemplative stroll. As you move along the path, you are sandwiched between lush, manicured lawns and the wild, rhythmic crashing of Buzzards Bay. The park’s greenery provides a sharp, beautiful contrast to the rugged granite walls of the fort, making it a favorite for local photographers, dog walkers, people getting steps in, joggers, cyclists and nature lovers alike.

I fall into a few of those categories, but not the dog walkers or joggers, my knees do not like me to jog and let me know afterwards these days, but it is a spot I enjoy visiting and get some good walks in there.

Of coursefor me not at this time of year, this morning as I write this with the wind the real feel is 1 F and i am glad to be indoors and nice and warm.

I often focus on the beach or the fort in my posts but I thought for today I would share some shots of the greenery inthe park.

THis is near the car park I park in when I visit there, I often walk by this post but don't often take photos of this view, That bench is great for those who want just to sit relax and soak in the view it is one of many around the park, but I myself don't think I have ever sat on any of them

This is a bit further along the same walking path, they have the path divided in two one side for walkers and one for cyclists

It's a beautiful area in summer, and probably a great morning temperature. Sure beat one degree F that's for sure! I like that first one, really nice shot great yellows to contrast all of the green. Nicely done. How are those knees holding up?

Nice pics. Nice change of pace for the winter to see some blues and greens from the summer. Real cold snap in Vermont right now.
