Cool details on or near Hawthorne Street New Bedford MA

Of recent, when the weather is nice, unlike this morning as it is raining, Murphys law in effect, I got the staples out yesterday and although Dr told me to be careful with lifting or straining my Belly area yesterday after taking the stales out, he did say photo walks with my camera gear would be fine, but Mother nature thought another easy day was a good idea.
I have been mixing up the time I get out for a walk; some days my usual Sunrise walks, and other days going out a while after sunrise when there is more light and checking out some of the streets with cool historic houses.

I have been taking photos of the full buildings of course, but also trying to notice and capture up close some of the cool details and that's what I will share today.

These were all taken on a walk I took along Hawthorne street here in New Bedford, which happens to be the street where some guy went through a stop sign and smashed into my car, but its a cool street so I wanted to walk along it.

Speaking of my car, the damage to it is close to $12K, luckily covered by Insurance, but still stuck in a rental for probably at least another week till repairs finish, so I'll be without my car for over a month in total.

OK now back to the photos.

Like this first one, not only cool windows but such nice craftmanship in the frames

The detail and style in these places is amazing; new houses don't have such style anymore.

OK it seems most of the detail I edited was all on the same property, but ohh well its cool right

Here is the exception, such cool design details even if it needs some touch-ups

Hello, dear friend @tattoodjay.

That's great news; you'll soon be out taking photographs. Congratulations!

I'm sorry the weather didn't let you get out and find some beautiful shots, although these are lovely shots of beautiful mansions.

Have a great day.

I come and go, but here I am checking in once more to see what is happening. I should have stuck it out, but oh well! I can’t even remember how to get started again 🤣🤣. Sorry to hear about your car, but I’m thankful that you are ok. I always loved to follow your walks around town, so I checked in here first!
