Daffodils

Daffodils

I know today is Wednesday but i messed up and shared my Wednesday walk post yesterday so sharing this today

Good Morning
Today I will share a few shots of some of the Daffodils that are growing in Buttonwood Park here in New Bedford,
I'm not sure why but I find I always seem to find myself smiling when I see the daffodils come up in spring, maybe because they are the first colors that apprear in early spring, or at least the ones i notice i know some others come out around the same time but the daffodils always catch my eye, perhaps its also as I remember them growing in my Dads garden, he was a great and proud gardener and his gardens both flower and veges always did so well, I cant say the same for me on the attempts I have made to have a garden LOL

There is this one patch in the park that has plenty of them as you can see in this next shot the greens and yellow especially after rain really pop and stand out making them quite eye catching

a closer in shot of a pair of them, not the greatest of shots, i will admit.
Ther eis another spot here called Parsons Reserve which has a huge field of Daffodils, I used to visit them each year, but last year I couldnt after the surgery and this year the days I have had free time to drive to the area and walk the short trail to get to them the weather hasnt bene ideal, I read this morning that with the wind and rain were getting the next couple of days they will be well past peak so I guess I wont get to them this year, but maybe next year

I think spring days are the best days of the year, especially if you're passionate about hiking in natural surroundings.

What beautiful flower shots, dear friend @tattoodjay.

Have a great day.

Hi, I like Daffodils, they are wonderful flowers. They seem simple at the same time, but they also have their own special charm and their own place in the garden or flowerbed. I grow several Daffodils, so this topic is close to me )

They’re gorgeous and I’m intrigued because ours started to grow February/March, the seasons do seem to be out of whack.

My mom has a bunch of them planted in the front of the house. None of them flowered this year. I don’t know why.

Funny story when we lived in Jersey City I tried my hand at gardenign and failed miseably, even the daffodils we planted did not come up while we were there, but the year after we moved we heard from a neighbour the daffodils came out in full force and did every year since then

Cheers
