another Monday more Mono Images

Another Monday more Mono Images

Good morning, wishing you a good day and start to the week, today I am starting the week as I always do with a selection of mono images.
Before I started on hive or perhaps the site I was on before Hive, I seldom did black and white or mono edits of photos I guess I preferred more colorful images at the time, but I have come to enjoy looking for images both when out for walks on when going through my photo folders that I feel will look good in Mono and finding I get plenty and really enjoy putting together some images for my Monday posts.

This first shot was when I was taking a morning walk starting down at the port, I pass by this statue often, and as I walked by it that morning, just after it had stopped raining i noticed the moisture drops on the woman, I happened to have my light painting torch with me at the time, so I switched to a bluish light and used it as I took the photo to light up the statue

I probably have shared a photo of the whole statue before but if you havent seen it here it is, its of a fisherman saying goodbye to his family as he is about to head out to sea

This next shot was on the same day I was walking through downtown to get some shots of the festive lights and played around with my light painting torch and blade, to be honest I wasn't happy with this shot in color but quite like it in mono

I have always liked taking shots when the surfaces have water droplets. This statue is really beautiful, and seeing it complete is even better dear friend @tattoodjay
Thank you very much for sharing these beautiful monochrome photographs.
Have a happy start to the week

Great shots, the blue on the statue of the woman with the water droplets came out really nice. You must head out pretty early in the morning for your walks, I'm an early riser myself but don't live nearly close enough to the beach to get those kind of shots.

I bet there's a nip in the air that early! I like my walks before sunrise as well, fewer people are out and about and it's a lot more peaceful. You sure have to head out pretty early then to be there 45 minutes before sunrise, but you do get the best lighting and a nice sunrise!

thats exactly why I like my morning walks so peaceful and so few people out at that time

that said in winter I dont get out for morning walks much, with age I feel the cold so much more

fisherman saying goodbye to his family as he is about to head out to sea

Powerful moment captured in this statue. I don't recall if you've posted it before or not. I really like it.
