A sunset walk in the nearby Cemetery

A sunset walk in the nearby Cemetery

Close by to where I live is the Oak Grove Cemetery and one evening i was a bit frustrated about it either being to cold for early morning walks, or when it did warm up it was generally rainy and very windy and I had not bene out for a walk for a while so I decided to walk to and aroudn the cemtery at sunset

Now I say evening, but I headed out about 3:30 PM so I guess thats not evening but with the sun settign so early it felt like the evening

Its a beautifully laid out and well maintained Cemetery, the maintained part I know well as we see and hear them working there often, much to the frustration of my wife who likes to sleep in and when there workking with Lawn Mowers, Leaf blowers etc not to far from ther bedroom window it drives her nuts sometimes
Walking around the cemtery as I waited for the sunt o come down and hoping for some nice colors

Often when I walk through the cemtery I like reading the headstones and iMaginging what Life was like for the people buried there, especially in the older parts of the cemetery.
BUt for this walk I was more focused as the colors of sunrise came out onthe bare trees and colors in the sky

the sunset was not as colorful as I had hoped for but none the less it was nice to get a walk in and some fresh air

I remember when I was a kid I was super scared of cemeteries, and my hands got super cold right after we entered the cemetery. But these days I find them super peaceful, and I am like you checking the headstones and imaging people's life. Especially, like headstones with photos.

That's a very nice mausoleum, but I wonder how many people actually come and visit it. It seems like a tremendous waste of money to me. I bet they paid a pretty penny for that back in the day!

Well as we live looking onto this cemetery I can say without a doubt not many visit there, Mostly i see people walking there dogs through the cemetery, and maybe see one or two cars stop in the cemetery a day

That's kind of sad, but I'll be honest and admit that I haven't been to the cemetery where my grandma and grandpa are buried in probably decades. I know they are in a far better place, so visiting their grave gives me no solace.

I to havent visited the cemetery where my parent snor the one with my sone is buried for well over 15 years or more, I honestly cant even remember when was hte last time I went back to nZ

For some visiting a cemtery where loved ones are buried gives some solace I imagine, for me i like to think they live on in my memories

Hey there, the Bilpcoin team just wanted to give you a virtual high-five we manually curated this post.

Their attempts to intimidate and silence their critics are equally concerning. The use of downvotes as a means of censorship is a clear indication of their desperation to maintain their grip on the narrative. But it's not working

The Hive community has been plagued by a rise in spam accounts sharing stolen content. Many of these accounts appear to be linked to a single super farm that we've exposed @memesandstuff superfarm and we believe a prominent whale may be behind it

A Call to Action Against Downvote Abuse on Hive

Bad downvotes on Hive are a growing concern that must be addressed. These downvotes not only discourage users from sharing their real thoughts and ideas but also damage the community as a whole, we see many walk away

The Buildawhale farm scam has been a topic of concern for us, and we've exposed it. However, despite our attempts to bring attention to this issue, it seems that no concrete actions have been taken to address it. This lack of response is puzzling

Let's discuss a more serious issue that affects all on Hive. The prevalence of bad downvotes on Hive is a major concern, and we urge you to speak up if you've been affected by it. Don't be afraid to share your experiences speak up

A clean and well-kept cemetery.
I used to be afraid to visit it, but since my husband died a few years ago, I have stopped being afraid.
Instead of fear, I feel tension, loneliness and melancholy...

So sorry for your loss, visiting a cemetery where ones loved one or ones are buried does have a completly different feeling

I can walk through our local cemetery here and chat away if my wife is walking with me, but when we visited the cemteries back in NZ where my Parents and Son are buried, I was silent and I can relate to the same feelings

Beautiful and ethereal. I love to visit cemeteries and study the different type head and foot stones that families choose for their loved ones.

Thanks for sharing these serene images. The one at sunset is my favorite. Take care.
