Visiting Xinglianggu Scenic Area, A Place Of Breathtaking Beauty

In my blog I wrote about Xinglianggu's theme-park-style glass bridge, a floating structure on the mountain peak from where one can lose oneself enjoying the enchanting surrounding scenery. This mountainous area, surrounded by natural beauty, is located in the northern part of Beijing Municipality. I mentioned that three colleagues of mine and I went there, and we entered the scenic area a bit late, around 4:50 PM, but within two hours we managed to enjoy the whole area and almost all the rides of the scenic area. Our ticket price was 198 RMB, but we got a 30 RMB discount and paid 168 RMB per ticket, which included all the rides and cable car round trips. Since the whole area is located on the mountain, it's possible to reach the mountain peak by cable car in a short time. And all the rides are arranged in such a way that they can all be completed along the walking path very easily and in a short time and that is the reson we were able to enjoy all the rides properly being late traveller in the scenic area.

Right after entering the scenic area, the walking path leads up to the mountain peak, from where our main destination, the glass bridge elevator, can be reached. But before reaching the elevator, there's a maze event; we found our way through it in just 4 minutes. Although it isn't a very large maze, it can confuse people for a while. It isn't a big problem even if you don't find the right path, but even so, we all found the exit together to go for the glass bridge elevator which is quite high from this level. Right after clearing the maze, there's the giant elevator to go up to the small bridge, and from there, within 5 minutes, we reach the glass bridge. To say more about this — I already wrote in my earlier travel blog post about this glass bridge, the landscape, and the surrounding was full of extraordinary natural beauty that would captivate anyone.

The hiking route after the glass bridge was extraordinary, especially the ramp/walkway along the mountainside and the stairs and the walking path is also made of glass that adds an unforgettable feeling there. The trail was quite long from one side to another side of the area and it gives a forest-like feeling, along with the surrounding green nature. We explored the walking paths that felt like walking in the sky with vast nature at the high peak of the mountain, which appeals to visitors with beautiful landscapes and natural surroundings.

But to me, the most beautiful thing was the floating walking bridge over the lake, with railings all around it, where people can walk back and forth across the lake, which is completely surrounded by the spread of the mountain. This location felt the most unforgettable to me. Such a beautiful lake and place across the two sides of the mountain — it left behind many tiring moments, making the trip even more memorable. From this end the whole scenic area can be explored through birds eye view as the lake is the last point of the whole scenic area from where the water fall is created here with a strong dam on the peak.

The next ride was the water drifting in the narrow path with some circles at different points. The drifting route was created utilizing the water from the waterfall that is going down to the basement area of the area and the water drifting path is the longest ride in this place and I think it is the best place ride among all of the rides available there. The speed of the boat increased a lot when it enter into the circular path on the way towards downwards from the peak.

Since we had come down quite far from the water drifting ride, our cable car station was located at higher altitude. Right here another ride begins, called the "Magic Carpet Flying." A long carpet is moving upwards towards the cable car stations through a beautiful; decorated tunnel like path. The colorful belt carries us upward through the long flower-decorated tunnel which is mimicking the science fiction movie's spaceshift routes in hyperlaps way exceeding the light speed.

After that we ride on the cable car to go downwards at around 6:25 and the closing time for the cable car is 6:30! So, we have managed to enjoy all the activities and exploring all the scenic spots at the top of the mountains before the closong time. It was a fantastic experience to explore the scenic area. Then we came down to the main gate area and we still had two activities left and we didn't stop completing them as still we had some time to enjoy there.

The first we get the option to ride a short zip-line fly over the bottom lake of the scenic area where the water is coming from the mountain top lake that we have visited at the peak area of the scenic spot. It was very fast less than half of a minute I think but the fun was over loaded there.Then we entered into our last activity zone called the "Water Entertainment Zone" which is mainly so popular among children. We have not taken spare dresses for that but still we have enjoyed some of the fun but my collegues enjoyed all the rides though he got wet in the water. It was very fun to do that and we saw some children were also enjoying these activities in this section.

We left the water entertainment zone at around 7:15 pm, almost around half an hour we spent there with too much fun fro some of my colleagues and also for me to watch those funs. It was a great day and we exit around 7:20 from the scenic spot and took a group photo infront of the main entrance and finished an exciting and memorable day.
