At night, the environment becomes quite calm. There’s no noise around. Especially in urban areas, the entire day is filled with noise pollution — the sounds of vehicles, people, factories — all carried by the wind. Amidst all this noise, it’s hard to ever experience true silence.

Around 1 AM tonight, I went up to the rooftop. From the top of the ten-story building, I noticed that all the lights in the surrounding houses were off. Looking up at the sky, I saw clouds playing across it. Their beautiful movement reminded me of the peacefulness of a truly quiet environment.

I stood at one corner of the rooftop for quite a while, gazing at the sky. I watched the moon and the clouds playing hide and seek. Altogether, tonight felt especially beautiful.
