Appreciating Ice Formed Clumps, When Taking In The Surroundings 📷 Picture A Day
(Edited)
Those of you that have been following my scribbles here on Hive for a while now, probably already know that I live in a tropical country called Suriname. So the closest I've come to snow or ice is from the frozen liquids formed in the freezers. I've also encountered hail once in my life, but that's a whole other story.
So imagine my surprise and wonder, when encountering frozen powdered liquids on a random day in December in Europe, waiting for my ride to arrive. It wasn't snowing yet, but it was cold enough to see the humidity having clumped up. I immediately snapped a few shots and because of that have a new screensaver now.
These small moments are what make up for the cold weather and ice cold hands. Now I can't wait to encounter snow ❄️.
How's the weather in your parts of the world? Have you been able to take a look around you and take some pictures along with it? I often forget to appreciate those small things in life and take them for granted, but whenever I'm aware of it, I try to remember and look around me and take it all in. How about you? Let me know in the comments below 🤓.

Yeah that's what I meant 🤦♀. Thanks for the correction and have changed it already! 👍
That’s cool or maybe I should say cold. Lol! 🥶
What are the temperatures like?
!LOL
We encountered below zero degrees Celsius a couple of weeks ago and now it's between 7 and 10, which is do-able for now. We'll have to see in January though.
Yes, 7-10 degress sound comfortable. Maybe colder in January and February.
It’s 3 degrees today though it looks sunny, I won’t be fooled. Haha!
!LOL
Yeah, that's what they keep telling me and that I should take it easy with the layering, so that when it gets really cold the layering will keep me warm enough.
I still haven’t perfected layering but I realize that having the first layer well-fitted (not too much air space) works well in keeping me warm or warmish. Often times my first layer is short sleeved. My second layer is thicker and covers my neck or fits close to it and also covers my arms. I may add a sweater then jacket depending on the temperature. Sometimes I add a scarf 🧣 and definitely gloves. My hands tend to “freeze” easily. Lol
Seriously though, I appreciate the different seasons but layering just isn’t my favorite thing to do. Lol!😂🤣
And I'm looking at what looks "good" on me, while also keeping me warm. Yup, the first layer is just the barrier between my skin and the "outer" clothes, so should be fitted and not loose.
!LOL
Scarf most of the time for me, because I like warm neck and ears and even in Suriname I suffered from cold hands and feet, so gloves go everywhere with me.
I don't mind the layering because I can appreciate the look, but what I don't like is the changing of clothes every time we head out 😂.
