[ENG/ESP]The Mystery of the Ephemeral Flower of the Araguaney in my backyard
Hello dear hives and friends of #dailyblog I hope you had a good and happy start of the week.
I have been super excited these days thanks to mother nature.
A few days ago, after two long days of rain, something magical happened in my backyard. There, among the sparse green leaves that were the product of the drought, a small wonder began to unfold: a few small buds that would eventually give an ephemeral flower. This was not just any flower; it was one from the Araguaney bush that only blooms once a year. I had observed it last year, which was its first time, and as soon as I saw the flowers open wide, this year I kept an eye out for it, I knew that this act of beauty would leave me speechless.
The araguaney in my yard is still a modest shrub that I have cared for since it was just a cutting. All year long, it remains silent, and full of leaves until it loses them in the abrupt drought, only time its trunk slowly thickens, gathering energy for its big moment. And then, when conditions are perfect, it awakens from its lethargy.

Hace unos días, después de dos largos días de lluvia, algo mágico sucedió en mi patio. Allí, entre escasas hojas verdes producto de la sequía yacía una pequeña maravilla, comenzó a desplegarse: unos pequeños botones que darían al final una flor efímera. Esta no era una flor cualquiera; era una del arbusto de Araguaney que solo florece una vez al año. La había observado el año pasado que fue su primera vez y apenas ya ví las flores bien abiertas, este año estuve pendiente para cuando se presenta, sabía que este acto de belleza me dejaría sin palabras.
El araguaney de Mi patio aún es un modesto arbusto que he cuidado desde que era apenas un esqueje. Durante todo el año, permanece en silencio, y lleno de hojas hasta que las pierde en la abrupta sequía, solo vez que su tronco engrosa lentamente, acumulando energía para su gran momento. Y luego, cuando las condiciones son perfectas, se despierta de su letargo.
On the first day, the little buds appear, shy and closed. They seem to promise something special, like secrets kept under their dry branches.
El primer día, los pequeños botones aparecen, tímidos y cerrados. Parecen prometer algo especial, como secretos guardados bajo sus ramas secas.
On the second day, the flower begins to open. Its petals slowly unfold, revealing a vibrant yellow. It is as if nature itself is painting a picture in my backyard, I am thrilled to see this beautiful process.
En el segundo día, la flor comienza a abrirse. Sus pétalos se despliegan lentamente, revelando un amarillo vibrantes. Es como si la naturaleza misma estuviera pintando un cuadro en mi patio, me emociona ver este hermoso proceso.
But it is on the third day that the real magic happens. The flowers are fully open, and you see the abuse with its completely yellow canopy. It's a short-lived spectacle, but one worth waiting for all year long.
Pero es en el tercer día cuando ocurre la verdadera magia. Las flores están completamente abiertas, y se ve el abuso con su copa completamente amarillo. Es un espectáculo efímero, pero uno que vale la pena esperar todo el año.
On the fourth day, as if they know their time is running out, the flowers begin to fall. the ground is covered with petals, like natural confetti, their green leaves beginning to emerge. But I do not feel sadness; rather, a sense of gratitude, because this little flower has shared its beauty with me, and I have witnessed its brief and beautiful existence.
En el cuarto día, como si supieran que su tiempo se agota, las flores comienzan a caer. el suelo está cubierto de pétalos, como confeti natural, comenzando a salir ya sus hojas verdes. Pero no siento tristeza; más bien, una sensación de gratitud, porque esta pequeña flor ha compartido su belleza conmigo, y yo he sido testigo de su breve y hermosa existencia.
In Venezuela, the majestic Araguaney stands as the national tree, a symbol of pride and natural beauty that barely does justice to its spectacular flowering. With the arrival of the rainy season, tourists are attracted by the spectacle of the mountains that are adorned with a bright yellow mantle, product of the flowers of the Araguaney.
En Venezuela, el majestuoso Araguaney se erige como el árbol nacional, un símbolo de orgullo y belleza natural que apenas hace justicia a la espectacularidad de su floración, con la llegada de la temporada de lluvias, los turistas se sienten atraídos por el espectáculo de las montañas que se adornan con un manto amarillo brillante, producto de las flores del Araguaney.
This phenomenon not only beautifies the landscape but also marks the beginning of a vital cycle for the local ecosystem.
Este fenómeno no solo embellece el paisaje sino que también marca el inicio de un ciclo vital para el ecosistema local.
So here I am, writing about this experience on #dailyBlog. Because I want others to also appreciate the magic of the ephemeral, the beauty that blooms even in the most unexpected moments.

Hermosa planta que se da en tu patio hermana @taniagonzalez, aquí en Cuba no la veo , hay una muy parecida y el proceso es parecido pero de flores rosadas pone el suelo rosado de tantas que caen juntas, es un espectáculo lindo de verdad los árboles se ven rosados , así como el tuyo amarillo 💛
