You all know that I never miss @tattoodjay initiative, because I love sharing a little bit of my week with you and also enjoying your experiences, which always inspire me and make me smile. This community has become a very special place for me, where every Wednesday feels like a window into the daily lives of wonderful people.
Today I want to show you my journey, which, although partly work-related, left me time for other activities that I enjoyed very much, and of course, I want to share it with you.
I left home early, as usual, to fulfill my work routine. On this occasion, the destination was the Hotel Sunsol Unik. The weather couldn't have been better; the early morning had left a light drizzle that cooled the air, and the sun, although present, was not suffocating, but rather warm and gentle. That perfect combination of freshness and light filled me with energy to start the day in good spirits.

Ya todos saben que no me pierdo la iniciativa de @tattoodjay, porque me encanta compartir un pedacito de mi semana con ustedes y también disfrutar de sus experiencias, que siempre me inspiran y me sacan una sonrisa. Esta comunidad se ha convertido en un espacio muy especial para mí, donde cada miércoles se siente como una ventana abierta a lo cotidiano de personas maravillosas.
Hoy quiero mostrarles mi recorrido, que aunque en parte fue de trabajo, me quedó tiempo para otras actividades que disfruté mucho, y por supuesto, quiero compartirlo con ustedes.
Salí temprano de casa, como de costumbre, para cumplir con mi rutina laboral. En esta ocasión, el destino era el Hotel Sunsol Unik. El clima no pudo estar mejor; la madrugada había dejado una llovizna suave que refrescó el ambiente, y el sol, aunque presente, no era sofocante, sino más bien cálido y amable. Esa combinación perfecta entre frescura y luz me llenó de energía para comenzar el día con buen ánimo.
During the journey, passing through natural and urban landscapes, we arrived at our first destination. Upon arriving at the hotel, I carried out my routine water check, which was satisfactory. Everything was in order, which is always a relief for everyone and gives us the satisfaction that we are doing well. The only delay was in the accounting department, as a signature was missing in order to deliver the invoice. Fortunately, I had no other urgent commitments, so I decided to wait patiently. That waiting time became an opportunity to chat with some of the hotel staff, who always welcome me with kindness and make my work much more bearable. Those little moments of human connection are what give value to each day.
Durante el trayecto, entre paisajes naturales y urbanos, llegamos a nuestro primer destino. Al llegar al hotel, realicé mi rutina correspondiente de chequeo de las aguas, la cual salió satisfactoriamente. Todo estaba en orden, lo que siempre es un alivio para todos y nos da la satisfacción que lo estamos haciendo bien. La única demora fue en el área de contabilidad, ya que faltaba una firma para poder entregar la factura. Afortunadamente, no tenía otros compromisos urgentes, así que decidí esperar pacientemente. Ese tiempo de espera se convirtió en una oportunidad para conversar con algunos trabajadores del hotel, quienes siempre me reciben con amabilidad y hacen que mi labor sea mucho más llevadera. Esos pequeños momentos de conexión humana son los que le dan valor a cada jornada.
Once I was able to sign and make the corresponding delivery, my husband and I headed to the Sambil shopping center, specifically to the Zoom area, to pick up a package that I was very excited about. It was some lights we had bought to improve our workspace. It was our son who found them online and helped us with the purchase. Although it's not something we're going to use right away, we know it will be very useful in the future and will add functionality to what we do.
Una vez que pude firmar y hacer la entrega correspondiente, mi esposo y yo nos dirigimos al centro comercial Sambil, específicamente al área de Zoom, para retirar una encomienda que me tenía muy emocionada. Se trataba de unas luces que habíamos comprado para mejorar nuestro espacio de trabajo. Fue nuestro hijo quien las encontró por internet y nos ayudó con la compra. Aunque no es algo que vayamos a usar de inmediato, sabemos que será de gran utilidad en el futuro y que aportará funcionalidad a lo que hacemos.
After that, we only had one last stop on our day trip: picking up my father to take him out for a snack. We took him to the Cruce Guacuco bakery, a place he loves because, according to him, they make the best empanadas there. We wanted to make him happy that afternoon and spend some quality time with him, doing something different. My father is a very talkative person, always with interesting anecdotes and wise reflections that make us think. Because of his age, he should no longer drive long distances or be under stress, so we try to accompany him and provide him with peaceful and happy moments.
Después de eso, solo nos quedaba un último compromiso en nuestro recorrido del día; pasar por mi padre para llevarlo a merendar. Lo llevamos a la panadería “Cruce Guacuco”, un lugar que le encanta porque, según él, ahí hacen las mejores empanadas. Queríamos complacerlo esa tarde y compartir un rato agradable con él, haciendo algo diferente. Mi padre es una persona muy conversadora, siempre tiene anécdotas interesantes y reflexiones sabias que nos hacen pensar. Por su edad, ya no debería manejar largas distancias ni estar bajo tensiones, así que procuramos acompañarlo y brindarle momentos tranquilos y felices.
After enjoying ourselves together at the bakery, we took him back to his house and started our journey home. It was a simple day, brightened by good weather, sunshine, and a little affection.

Después de disfrutar juntos en la panadería, lo llevamos de regreso a su casa y emprendimos nuestro camino de vuelta. Fue un día sencillo, iluminado por el buen clima, el sol y un poco de cariño.

Lo mejor de su trabajo es que siempre deja espacio para una buena merienda. El clima de verdad que ha estadio bien estos días y que bueno porque en serio el sol y el calor estaban bien fuertes. Esas empanadas en el cruce de guacuco son famosas ya las había escuchado antes, voy a tener que ir y probarlas. Saludos

Probar las empanadas fue toda una revelación para mí, ¡fue mi primera vez! Y debo admitir que mi padre tenía razón: son realmente deliciosas. Las de pollo, en particular, me sorprendieron con su sabor tan bien logrado y ese toque de sazón que las hace inolvidables. Definitivamente, fue un acierto.
