[ENG/ESP] Wednesday routine and calm after the carnival
Happy Wednesday, dear friends.
Here I am again with you, another week, participating in the wonderful initiative of our friend @tattoodjay, who invites us to share those Wednesday outings that we enjoy so much. It's a space that motivates me to pause for a moment in my routine, observe my surroundings, and tell you in detail how my day is going, because every day, even if it seems simple, always has something special in store.
On this occasion, I want to tell you about what a Wednesday is like on Margarita Island, a place that never ceases to amaze me with its charm. We are coming off of Carnival, with all that that entails: music, colors, joy, and also a lot of movement in the streets. They were holidays, full of celebration, but like everything in life, the time comes to return to normal. This Wednesday marked that return, and although the party is over, you can still feel the vibrant energy left behind by the carnival season in the air.
For those of us who work in the hotel sector, as is our case, holidays do not mean rest. Tourism never stops, and our job is to always offer the best service. However, when the hustle and bustle of the festivities calms down, the city is transformed. The streets look quieter, the traffic lightens, and there is a different kind of peace in the air. That calm accompanied us on this day, and I must say that it is much appreciated after such hectic days.
We left early for work, and the weather was perfect: bright sunshine illuminated the island, but at the same time, a cool breeze blew, making the atmosphere very pleasant. These contrasts are part of the magic of Margarita, where the heat is softened by the wind and every day seems to be painted by nature. I took the opportunity to capture some moments with my camera, because I like to share with you not only what I do, but also what I see and feel along the way.
Feliz miércoles, queridos amigos.
Aquí estoy nuevamente con ustedes, una semana más, participando en la bonita iniciativa de nuestro amigo @tattoodjay, que nos invita a compartir esos paseos de miércoles que tanto disfrutamos. Es un espacio que me motiva a detenerme un poco en la rutina, observar lo que me rodea y contarles con detalle cómo transcurre mi día, porque cada jornada, aunque parezca sencilla, guarda siempre algo especial.
En esta ocasión, quiero hablarles de cómo se vive un miércoles en Isla Margarita, un lugar que nunca deja de sorprenderme con su encanto. Venimos de días de carnaval, con todo lo que eso significa; música, colores, alegría y también mucho movimiento en las calles. Fueron días feriados, llenos de celebración, pero como todo en la vida, llega el momento de volver a la normalidad. Este miércoles marcó ese regreso, y aunque la fiesta quedó atrás, todavía se siente en el aire esa energía vibrante que deja la temporada de carnaval.
Para quienes trabajamos en el sector hotelero, como es nuestro caso, los feriados no significan descanso. El turismo nunca se detiene, y nuestra labor es ofrecer siempre el mejor servicio. Sin embargo, cuando el bullicio de la festividad se calma, la ciudad se transforma. Las calles se ven más tranquilas, el tráfico se aligera y se respira una paz distinta. Esa calma fue la que nos acompañó en este día, y debo decir que se agradece mucho después de jornadas tan agitadas.
Salimos temprano a trabajar, y el clima estaba perfecto: un sol radiante iluminaba la isla, pero al mismo tiempo soplaba una brisa fresca que hacía el ambiente muy agradable. Esos contrastes son parte de la magia de Margarita, donde el calor se suaviza con el viento y cada día parece pintado por la naturaleza. Aproveché para capturar algunos momentos con mi cámara, porque me gusta compartirles no solo lo que hago, sino también lo que veo y siento en el camino.
Upon arriving at the other Unik, we got down to our work routine. We measured the parameters in the water, a task we carry out with great responsibility, because the quality of the service we offer depends on those results. We were very satisfied to see that everything was in order and that the values were excellent. The peace of mind that comes from knowing that the job is well done is invaluable, and it filled us with enthusiasm to continue with the rest of the day's tasks.
Al llegar al otro Unik, nos dedicamos a nuestra rutina de trabajo. Medimos los parámetros en las aguas, una tarea que realizamos con mucha responsabilidad, porque de esos resultados depende la calidad del servicio que ofrecemos. La satisfacción fue grande al comprobar que todo estaba en orden y que los valores eran excelentes. Esa tranquilidad que da saber que el trabajo está bien hecho es invaluable, y nos llenó de ánimo para continuar con las demás tareas del día.
The next mission was to find an essential product for our work. We first went to Multipisina, but they couldn't issue an invoice due to a system problem. Far from being discouraged, we followed the directions and went to the GUUAO store, which functions as a kind of branch. There we were able to get what we needed and, in addition, we were able to issue an invoice without any problems. We left with the product in hand and the joy of knowing that we had enough material for half a year's work. That security gives us peace of mind and allows us to focus on other aspects without worry.
La siguiente misión fue buscar un producto esencial para nuestro trabajo. Nos dirigimos primero a Multipisina, pero allí no podían facturar debido a un problema en el sistema. Lejos de desanimarnos, seguimos las indicaciones y nos trasladamos a la tienda GUUAO, que funciona como una especie de sucursal. Allí sí logramos conseguir lo que necesitábamos y, además, pudimos facturar sin inconvenientes. Salimos con el producto en mano y con la alegría de saber que contamos con suficiente material para medio año de trabajo. Esa seguridad nos da paz y nos permite enfocarnos en otros aspectos sin preocupaciones.
With that task completed, only the last and simplest one remained: filling up the car with fuel. We usually do this on the weekend, but since I've been taking care of my health and avoiding going out too much, we decided to leave it for this day. It was a good decision, because when we arrived at the station there was no line, which is always appreciated. The process was quick and efficient, and with a full tank, we felt ready to continue the week without any setbacks.
Finally, with all the tasks completed and the satisfaction of having made good use of the day, we returned home. Nothing compares to that feeling of ending the day knowing that everything went well, that the pending issues have been resolved, and that we can rest easy.
Con esa tarea cumplida, solo quedaba la última y más sencilla; colocar combustible al auto. Normalmente lo hacemos el fin de semana, pero como he estado cuidando mi salud y evitando salir demasiado, decidimos dejarlo para este día. Fue una buena decisión, porque al llegar a la estación no había cola, algo que siempre se agradece. El proceso fue rápido y eficiente, y con el tanque lleno nos sentimos listos para continuar la semana sin contratiempos.
Finalmente, con todas las tareas cumplidas y la satisfacción de haber aprovechado bien el día, regresamos a casa. Nada se compara con esa sensación de cerrar la jornada sabiendo que todo salió bien, que los pendientes están resueltos y que podemos descansar con tranquilidad.
