[ENG/ESP] The tranquility the island offers on every tour

The week continues, and with it, work, responsibilities, and that daily rhythm that sometimes seems to move faster than we’d like. I wish you all a wonderful Thursday, filled with serenity and good times, because it’s always important to take a mental break before continuing with the day.
Today I headed over to Pedro González for one of my regular visits to the Sunsol Ecoland Hotel, a place that’s now part of my frequent itinerary and that, every time I go, treats me to a new glimpse of the island. Since last week, there’s been a steady stream of tourists arriving, both domestic and international. Vacation has already begun for many, and I must admit, even the traffic has gotten a bit heavy. You have to drive very carefully, because the island is filled with life, but also with vehicles and that fast-paced energy brought by those coming from big cities.
Tourists arrive still a bit on edge, charged with the frantic energy of their urban routines, and they struggle to adjust to Margarita’s peaceful rhythm. Sometimes you see them walking quickly, as if they were in a hurry, and then you notice them stopping suddenly when the scenery reminds them that everything flows differently here.
We took the Portachuelo route because it has the least traffic, and besides, its urban and natural landscapes are truly beautiful.

It’s a route I always enjoy, even when I’m traveling for work. We passed by the “La Playa” lagoon, which looked absolutely stunning. Despite a few clouds in the sky, it was there, still, showing us all its beauty as if it knew that those who gaze upon it need a breather.

When we arrived at the hotel, the charismatic Carel from the quality department was waiting for us, always with her smile and that friendly demeanor that makes any technical tour go more smoothly.
She would accompany us to the main tank to perform the chlorination and disinfection.

Carel, my husband, and the maintenance manager climbed up onto the tank. This time, I stayed down below because I still need to rest my hand and can’t hold onto the ladder properly. It’s best to avoid any accidents; besides, I want to make a full recovery before returning to my routines without any limitations.
While they were up on the tank, I took the opportunity to snap a few photos of the scenery. From that vantage point, you can see a part of the island that looks like a painting, with rolling mountains, lush vegetation, and a sky that shifts in hue depending on the time of day. I always find something that inspires me.

Finally, the chlorination and disinfection routine was completed, and the readings were well within the specified parameters. With everything ready, we left with a sense of satisfaction at a job well done—that peaceful feeling of having fulfilled our duties and contributed our small part to the smooth operation of the hotel.

That was our work tour for the day at the Ecoland Hotel. I hope you enjoyed joining me on this little tour. I’ll be back very soon with another post to show you another little slice of the island’s beautiful landscapes, which never cease to amaze us.
See you soon.
Bye.
