[ENG/ESP] The Island smiles at us every day
Happy day, I hope you are enjoying a well-deserved break and that this moment of pause allows you to recharge your batteries so you can move forward with enthusiasm. Today I have decided to give myself a break, stay at home with my family, and dedicate some special time to pampering ourselves. The idea is to prepare some dishes and sweets that allow us to share that comforting warmth of home. Tomorrow I will tell you in detail how the recipes turned out, because there are always anecdotes that arise in the kitchen that make each preparation unique.
I want to take this opportunity to tell you about my last day of work this week, a day marked by capricious weather; at times the sun shone brightly, illuminating everything with its energy, and at other times the clouds took over the sky, creating a cooler and more serene atmosphere. That variation did not prevent me from enjoying myself or stopping my habit of taking photographs, because every moment has its charm and deserves to be remembered. The island always gives us a smile on our workdays.
Feliz día, espero que estén disfrutando de un merecido descanso y que este momento de pausa les permita recargar energías para seguir adelante con entusiasmo. Hoy he decidido regalarme un respiro, quedarme en casa junto a mi familia y dedicarnos un tiempo especial para mimarnos. La idea es preparar algunos platos y dulces que nos permitan compartir ese calor hogareño que tanto reconforta. Mañana les contaré con detalle cómo me quedaron las recetas, porque siempre hay anécdotas que surgen en la cocina y que hacen que cada preparación sea única.
Quiero aprovechar esta ocasión para contarles cómo fue mi último día de trabajo de la semana, un día que estuvo marcado por un clima caprichoso; a ratos el sol brillaba con fuerza iluminando todo con su energía, y en otros momentos las nubes se adueñaban del cielo, regalando un ambiente más fresco y sereno. Esa variación no me impidió disfrutar ni tampoco detenerme en mi costumbre de capturar fotografías, porque cada instante tiene su encanto y merece ser recordado. La Isla siempre nos da una sonrisa en los días de jornada.
Our destination was the Hotel Sunsol Ecoland, where we had the task of chlorinating the main tank. To get there, we took the Portachuelo road, a route that always fascinates me with its views. It is a journey that combines mountains, vegetation, and spots that seem delicately painted, making the trip more than just a simple transfer; it becomes a visual experience full of emotions.
Nuestro destino era el Hotel Sunsol Ecoland, donde teníamos la tarea de realizar la cloración del tanque principal. Para llegar allí tomamos el camino de Portachuelo, un trayecto que siempre me resulta fascinante por sus vistas. Es un recorrido que combina montañas, vegetación y rincones que parecen pintados con delicadeza, haciendo que el viaje sea más que un simple traslado; se convierte en una experiencia visual cargada de emociones.
As we passed through Santa Ana, we came across a scene that filled me with joy. The residents were busy cleaning and painting the streets, enthusiastically preparing for Holy Week. Seeing how everyone comes together for a common purpose, how each person contributes their effort to beautify the place, is truly inspiring. That community unity radiates hope and pride, and it reminded me of the importance of valuing the small gestures that build an atmosphere of harmony.
Al atravesar Santa Ana, nos encontramos con una escena que me llenó de alegría. Los pobladores estaban dedicados a limpiar y pintar las calles, preparándose con entusiasmo para la Semana Santa. Ver cómo todos se unen en un mismo propósito, cómo cada persona aporta su esfuerzo para embellecer el lugar, es realmente inspirador. Esa unión comunitaria irradia esperanza y orgullo, y me recordó la importancia de valorar los pequeños gestos que construyen un ambiente de armonía.
Near the hotel, we passed by La Playa lagoon. From the avenue, we could see beautiful colors that seemed to change with the light of day. I couldn't resist taking a photo to show you how the weather was at dawn and the beauty of the landscapes that Margarita Island offers us. That mixture of water, sky, and reflections is a spectacle that never tires, always different and always enchanting.
Ya cerca del hotel, pasamos por la laguna La Playa. Desde la avenida se apreciaban unos colores hermosos que parecían cambiar con la luz del día. No pude resistirme y capturé una fotografía para mostrarles cómo amaneció el clima y la belleza de los paisajes que nos regala Isla Margarita. Esa mezcla de agua, cielo y reflejos es un espectáculo que nunca cansa, siempre distinto y siempre encantador.
Upon arriving at the hotel, we were greeted by Cristian, the quality technician, who accompanied us on the tour to perform chlorination and disinfection. With professionalism and cordiality, he guided us through each step, ensuring that the routine was carried out methodically and accurately. Once the parameters had been verified and the task completed, I took a moment to look at the lagoon again from a distance.
Al llegar al hotel fuimos recibidos por Cristian, el técnico de calidad, quien nos acompañó en el recorrido para realizar la cloración y desinfección. Con profesionalismo y cordialidad nos guió en cada paso, asegurándose de que la rutina se cumpliera de manera metódica y precisa. Una vez verificados los parámetros y concluida la tarea, me tomé un momento para observar nuevamente la laguna desde lo lejos.
That view gave me a sense of peace and reminded me that, even in the midst of responsibilities, there is always room to contemplate the beauty that surrounds us.
Esa vista me transmitió paz y me recordó que, incluso en medio de las responsabilidades, siempre hay espacio para contemplar la belleza que nos rodea.
With the satisfaction of a job well done, we set off on our way home. That feeling of having done the right thing, of having done our bit, mingled with the desire to enjoy a quiet weekend. We took Simplicio Rodríguez Avenue, where the mountains and the landscape accompanied us like faithful witnesses to our journey. Every bend in the road seemed to bid us farewell, reminding us that nature is always there to keep us company.
Con la satisfacción del deber cumplido emprendimos el camino de regreso a casa. Esa sensación de haber hecho lo correcto, de haber aportado nuestro granito, mezclaba con el anhelo de disfrutar un fin de semana tranquilo. Tomamos la avenida Simplicio Rodríguez, donde las montañas y el paisaje nos acompañaron como fieles testigos de nuestro recorrido. Cada curva del camino parecía despedirnos, recordándonos que la naturaleza siempre está ahí para regalarnos compañía.
