Greetings, wonderful #wednesdaywalk community. It has become a tradition to spend time with you every week, sharing a new route thanks to the initiative of our friend @tattoodjay. This routine has become a meeting place, where I not only recount my experiences, but also connect with each of you, who accompany me with your comments and positive energy.
As every day, work occupies an important place in our daily lives. We get up early because everything always seems to flow better in the morning; the air is fresher, the mind is clear, and tasks are easier to accomplish. That discipline of starting early has become a habit that allows us to make better use of our time and feel that we get more out of the day.
On the island, the weather continues to be glorious. Our friend the sun asserts itself in all its splendor, illuminating every corner and reminding us that we live in a beautiful place. Although the heat can be stifling at times, I confess that I love it. This climate gives me the opportunity to capture beautiful photographs, both of natural landscapes and human scenes that convey the essence of island life. I couldn't help but share with you these images that are a testament to the beauty that surrounds us.

Ya se ha convertido en una costumbre estar cada semana con ustedes, compartiendo un nuevo recorrido gracias a la iniciativa de nuestro amigo @tattoodjay. Esta rutina se ha transformado en un espacio de encuentro, donde no solo relato mis experiencias, sino que también me conecto con cada uno de ustedes, que acompañan con sus comentarios y su buena energía.
Como cada día, el trabajo ocupa un lugar importante en nuestra cotidianidad. Nos levantamos temprano, porque siempre en la mañana todo parece fluir mejor; el aire es más fresco, la mente está despejada y las tareas se realizan con mayor facilidad. Esa disciplina de empezar temprano se ha convertido en un hábito que nos permite aprovechar mejor las horas y sentir que el día rinde más.
En la Isla, el clima continúa radiante. Nuestro amigo sol se hace valer con todo su esplendor, iluminando cada rincón y recordándonos que vivimos en un lugar hermoso. Aunque el calor puede ser sofocante en ocasiones, confieso que me encanta. Ese clima me brinda la oportunidad de capturar fotografías hermosas, tanto de paisajes naturales como de escenas humanas que transmiten la esencia de la vida isleña. No podía dejar de compartir con ustedes esas imágenes que son testimonio de la belleza que nos rodea.
Our first stop was at Sunsol Unik, where we carried out our work routine. There, we measured the disinfected parameters and applied chlorine, ensuring that the values remained within the required standards. When we finished, we were all satisfied with the results, as the job was done and we had the peace of mind that comes with knowing we had done things right.
However, the day had a small setback. An invoice was missing from the accounting department, which caused an unexpected delay. After searching for hours, it was finally found misfiled. This had never happened before, and both we and the staff were surprised. The stress level was high, but fortunately, everything was resolved. That experience reminded us that, although unforeseen events can disrupt our routine, there is always a way out if we remain calm and persevere.
Nuestra primera parada fue en el Sunsol Unik, donde realizamos nuestra rutina de trabajo. Allí medimos los parámetros desinfectados y aplicamos cloro, asegurándonos de que los valores quedaran dentro de los estándares requeridos. Al finalizar, todos quedamos satisfechos con los resultados, pues el deber estaba cumplido y la tranquilidad de haber hecho las cosas bien nos acompañaba.
Sin embargo, la jornada tuvo un pequeño contratiempo. En el área de contabilidad no aparecía una factura, y eso generó una demora inesperada. Después de largas horas de búsqueda, finalmente apareció traspapelada. Era algo que nunca había sucedido y, tanto nosotros como el personal del lugar, estábamos sorprendidos. El nivel de estrés fue alto, pero felizmente todo se solucionó. Esa experiencia nos recordó que, aunque los imprevistos pueden alterar la rutina, siempre hay una salida si se mantiene la calma y la perseverancia.
Exhausted and hungry, because it was 3:30 in the afternoon, we decided to find a place to grab a quick bite to eat so we could get home without further delay. On the way, we passed by La Vela shopping center and stopped, attracted by the food court that offers multiple options for all tastes and budgets.
Ya exhaustos y con hambre, porque eran las 3:30 de la tarde, decidimos buscar un lugar donde comer algo rápido que nos permitiera llegar a casa sin más demoras. En el camino pasamos por el centro comercial La Vela y nos detuvimos, atraídos por la feria de comida que ofrece múltiples opciones para todos los gustos y bolsillos.
We finally opted for KFC, which has a generous and fairly inexpensive combo: chicken burger, breaded chicken pieces, French fries, and their unmistakable ketchup. What can I say... everything was delicious. Our hunger made every bite taste better, and we were completely satisfied.
Finalmente optamos por KFC, que tiene un combo generoso y bastante económico; hamburguesa de pollo, piezas de pollo empanizado, papas fritas y su inconfundible ketchup. Qué les puedo decir… todo estaba delicioso. El hambre que teníamos hacía que cada bocado supiera mejor, y la satisfacción fue total.
Across from KFC is a gym that caught my attention. On one of its posts was a phrase that I really liked: “Achievements are not magic, they are hard work and generosity.” A powerful reflection that reminds us that behind every goal achieved there is effort and perseverance. The funny thing was that the gym door was right in front of the diners, as if those who exercised had to resist the temptation of fast food while they trained. A funny and contradictory scene that reflects life itself: a balance between discipline and pleasure.
Frente a KFC se encuentra un gimnasio que llamó mi atención. En uno de sus postes había una frase que me gustó mucho: “Los logros no son magia, son trabajos duros y generosos”. Una reflexión poderosa que nos recuerda que detrás de cada meta alcanzada hay esfuerzo y constancia. Lo curioso era que la puerta del gimnasio quedaba justo frente a los comensales, como si los que practicaban deporte tuvieran que resistir la tentación de la comida rápida mientras entrenaban. Una escena divertida y contradictoria que refleja la vida misma; equilibrio entre disciplina y placer.
After lunch and feeling satisfied, we set off on our way back home. Our duty was done, our stomachs full, and our hearts grateful for another day of shared experiences.
