[ENG/ESP] Pruning and disbudding of Oak Bonsai trees.

Dear friends of #amazingnature , I am here once again to keep my word, because what I promised is debt. A few weeks ago I told you that when I pruned my oak bonsai, I would show them to you, today I am here to do it.
This time, not only will I show you the pruning of my oak trees, but also the time has come to remove the wire and see if they have acquired the shape I wanted. I am very excited about this work with the oaks, as I have had them wired for a year for the second time. I hope I don't have to wire them again, I have had them for five years now and their branches are very strong and unruly.
I call these oak bonsai "my morochos" because I planted them from seed. I put three seeds, only these two germinated, they grew at the same time, so I decided to leave them together.
Now I will show you the tools I used, which are very simple, and I will explain step by step the process of weeding and pruning:

Queridos amigos de #amazingnature , me encuentro aquí una vez más para cumplir con mi palabra, ya que lo prometido es deuda. Hace algunas semanas les dije que cuando podara mis bonsáis de roble, se los mostraría, hoy estoy aquí para hacerlo.
En esta ocasión, no solo les mostraré la poda de mis robles, sino que también ha llegado el momento de quitarles el alambre y ver si han adquirido la forma que deseaba. Este trabajo con los robles me emociona mucho, ya que los he tenido alambrados durante un año por segunda vez. Espero no tener que volver a alambrar , ya llevo cinco años con ellos y sus ramas son muy fuertes y rebeldes.
A estos bonsáis de roble, yo les llamo "mis morochos" porque los sembré desde semillas. Puse tres semillas, solo germinaron estas dos, que crecieron al mismo tiempo, así que decidí dejarlos juntos.
Ahora les mostraré las herramientas que utilicé, que son muy simples, y les explicaré paso a paso el proceso de desalambrado y poda:
Herramientas:
- Pico pequeño
- Paleta
- Tijeras
- Cuchilla
- Tierra abonada
- Gravilla
- Carbón vegetal
The first thing I did was to remove all the stones from the lower part of the bonsai, which I put on one occasion because the toads were getting into the drawer.
Lo primero que hice fue retirar todas las piedras de la parte inferior del bonsái, que se las puse en una ocasión porque los sapos se metían al cajón.
Then I set out to cut all the branches. Some I was able to cut with the scissors, others with the blade making inclined cuts. In this way I removed each of the remaining branches.
Después, me dispuse a cortar todas las ramas. Algunas las pude cortar con las tijeras, otras con la cuchilla haciendo cortes inclinados. Así fui retirando cada una de las ramas que quedaban.
Once all the leaves were removed, I proceeded to loosen and remove the wires that were forcing the bonsai to maintain the shape I wanted. The one year wait was worth it, I really like the shape my bonsai has taken. Working with them excites me, I know that above all things, you have to be patient to work with them.
Una vez retiradas todas las hojas, procedí a aflojar y quitar los alambres que estaban forzando al bonsái a mantener la forma que yo deseaba. La espera de un año valió la pena, me ha gustado mucho la forma que ha tomado mi bonsái. Trabajar con ellos me emociona, sé que sobre todas las cosas, hay que ser pacientes para trabajarlos.
With the help of the pickaxe, I removed the soil so that I could later remove the bonsai without damaging the roots.
Con ayuda del pico, removí la tierra para poder sacar posteriormente los bonsáis sin dañar las raíces.
I removed them very carefully, with the help of the scissors, I cut the small roots. With the blade, I cut some of the thicker roots that will not affect the feeding of the trees.
Los retiré con mucho cuidado, con ayuda de las tijeras, corté las raíces pequeñas. Con la cuchilla, corté algunas de las raíces más gruesas que no afectarán la alimentación de los árboles.
Then, I emptied the drawer in which I had them planted, and where they will spend another year.
Next year, I will put them in separate containers.
Luego, vacié el cajón en el que los tenía sembrados, y donde pasarán un año más.
El próximo año, los pondré en recipientes independientes.
The first thing I put in the box was the gravel, then the charcoal, and finally the compost.
Lo primero que coloqué en el cajón fue la gravilla, luego el carbón y, por último, la tierra abonada.
Once the box was ready, I planted them again and they were ready and comfortable. I put back stones to prevent the toads from damaging my roots.
Una vez listo el cajón, los volví a sembrar y quedaron listos y cómodos. Le volví a colocar piedras para evitar que los sapos me dañen las raices
In a couple of weeks, they will have new branches, as will the Jambolan bonsai that I pruned three weeks ago and which is already in full growth.
En un par de semanas, tendrán nuevas ramas, al igual que el bonsái de Jambolan que podé hace tres semanas y que ya está en pleno crecimiento.
I only have to wait three months to remove their soil and provide them with nutrients, since, as they have little soil, it is necessary to be aware of providing them with nutrients and humidity.

I also have Bonsai at home. It's a Bougainvillea Bonsai. I want to put wires on them too to achieve a form/shape. What's the name of the wire? Is there a specific wire to use? or I can use any wires I could recycle at home? 😊
