[ENG/ESP] Helping with my heart, bringing joy to my father.

I hope you are enjoying a day full of peace, rest, and pleasant moments with your loved ones. Today I want to share with you a very special experience we had this weekend as a family, one of those days that, although simple, remain etched in our hearts because of all they mean.
This weekend was different because we didn't have to work. We took advantage of that opportunity to get together and devote our time and energy to something that fills us with satisfaction: helping my father with some tasks at his house. It was a decision we made with great enthusiasm because we knew that we were not only going to help him, but also share wonderful moments together, because whenever we do things with him, we learn new and interesting things.
The three of us left the house, my husband, my son, and I, with tremendous enthusiasm. The weather seemed to accompany us with the same energy, the sky was clear, the sun was shining brightly, inviting us to do things and live the day with joy. It was as if everything was conspiring to give us a perfect day.

Espero que estén disfrutando de un día lleno de paz, descanso y momentos agradables con sus seres queridos. Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes una experiencia muy especial que vivimos este fin de semana en familia, una de esas jornadas que, aunque sencillas, se quedan grabadas en el corazón por todo lo que significan.
Este fin de semana fue diferente, ya que no tuvimos que trabajar. Aprovechamos esa oportunidad para reunirnos y dedicar nuestro tiempo y energía a algo que nos llena de satisfacción, ayudar a mi padre con algunas tareas en su casa. Fue una decisión que tomamos con mucho entusiasmo, porque sabíamos que no solo íbamos a colaborar con él, sino también a compartir momentos maravillosos juntos, porque con él siempre que hace historias aprendemos cosas nuevas e interesantes.
Salimos los tres de casa, mi esposo, mi hijo y yo, con tremendo entusiasmo. El clima parecía acompañarnos con la misma energía, el cielo estaba despejado, el sol brillaba con fuerza invita a hacer cosas, y vivir el día con alegría. Era como si todo conspira para que tuviéramos un día perfecto.
When we arrived at my father's house, we found him smiling from ear to ear. Although we visit him almost every day, we can usually only stay for an hour or two because of our work commitments. But this time was different: we were going to spend the whole day with him, dedicated exclusively to improving his home. The plan was to put up some new curtains, install lamps, and do a thorough cleaning. All with the goal of making his house more comfortable, more beautiful, and, above all, improving his quality of life in several ways.
We got organized quickly. My husband and son took care of installing the lamps, a task that turned out to be more complex than we thought, since we wanted the lighting to be perfect both inside and outside.
Al llegar a casa de mi padre, lo encontramos con una sonrisa de oreja a oreja. Aunque lo visitamos casi todos los días, generalmente solo podemos quedarnos una o dos horas por nuestras obligaciones laborales. Pero esta vez era distinto: íbamos a pasar todo el día con él, dedicados exclusivamente a mejorar su hogar. El plan era colocar unas cortinas nuevas, instalar lámparas y hacer una limpieza profunda. Todo con el objetivo de que su casa estuviera más cómoda, más bonita y, sobre todo, que su calidad de vida mejorara en varios aspectos.
Nos organizamos rápidamente. Mi esposo y mi hijo se encargaron de instalar las lámparas, una tarea que resultó más compleja de lo que pensábamos, ya que queríamos que la iluminación quedará perfecta tanto en el interior como en el exterior.
Mientras tanto, yo me dediqué a lavar ropa, recoger los cuartos y ordenar todo lo que estaba fuera de lugar.

My father, moved and grateful, decided to start cooking. And let me tell you something, when he enters the kitchen, you have to take your hat off to him. He's a true master! He prepared a delicious lunch that we enjoyed very much.
Mi padre, emocionado y agradecido, decidió ponerse a cocinar. Y déjenme decirles algo, cuando él entra a la cocina, hay que quitarse el sombrero. ¡Es un verdadero maestro! Preparó un almuerzo delicioso que disfrutamos muchísimo.
We had planned to do many things, but as often happens, there wasn't enough time for everything. Installing the lamps took longer than expected, and cleaning also took up a good part of the day. So we decided to leave putting up the curtains for another time. We weren't too worried about it, because the important thing was to be together and get as much done as we could.
After lunch, we sat down to chat, laugh at jokes and anecdotes, and enjoy the after-lunch conversation. It was a very special moment, full of family bonding.
Habíamos planeado hacer muchas cosas, pero como suele pasar, el tiempo no alcanzó para todo. La instalación de las lámparas tomó más tiempo de lo esperado, y la limpieza también nos llevó buena parte del día. Así que decidimos dejar la colocación de las cortinas para otra ocasión. No nos preocupó demasiado, porque lo importante era estar juntos y avanzar en lo que se pudiera.
Después de comer, nos sentamos a conversar, a reírnos con chistes y anécdotas, y a disfrutar de la sobremesa. Fue un momento muy especial, lleno de complicidad familiar.
Late in the evening, we were able to see how the outdoor lights looked, and the house looked beautiful! My father was happy, and he even asked us to stay the night. But since we live relatively close by and our pets were home alone, we decided to go back.
That's how we spent our Saturday, as a family, helping my father improve his home and sharing moments that strengthened our family bonds a little more.

Ya entrada la noche, pudimos comprobar cómo habían quedado las luces exteriores, ¡la casa se veía hermosa! Mi padre estaba feliz, y hasta nos pidió que nos quedáramos a dormir. Pero como vivimos relativamente cerca y nuestras mascotas estaban solas en casa, preferimos regresar.
Así fue como pasamos nuestro sábado, en familia, ayudando a mi padre a tener su hogar en mejores condiciones, y compartiendo momentos que fortalecen un poco más nuestros lazos familiares.
