[ENG/ESP] A sweet break after an exhausting day.

As I told you in the previous post, this week was going to be quite intense. With the tourist slowdown, all hotels are taking the opportunity to tidy up their facilities, make necessary repairs and ensure that everything is ready for the next high season. This process is essential to maintain the quality of services, and although it represents an additional effort for those of us who work in this sector, it is also an opportunity to make the facilities look impeccable.
Since the beginning of the week, I have found myself with a lot of work, but fortunately I have the support of my husband, which gives me a lot of peace of mind, especially because I don't have to worry about driving back and forth. Having company on these long trips makes everything more bearable, in addition to providing safety and comfort.

Como les conté en la publicación anterior, esta semana iba a ser bastante intensa. Con la baja turística, todos los hoteles están aprovechando para poner en orden sus instalaciones, realizar arreglos necesarios y garantizar que todo esté listo para la próxima temporada alta. Este proceso es fundamental para mantener la calidad de los servicios, y aunque representa un esfuerzo adicional para quienes trabajamos en este sector, también es una oportunidad para que las instalaciones luzcan impecables.
Desde el inicio de la semana, me he encontrado con mucho trabajo, pero afortunadamente cuento con el apoyo de mi esposo, lo que me da mucha tranquilidad, sobre todo porque no tengo que preocuparme de manejar de un lado a otro. Tener compañía en estos recorridos largos hace que todo sea más llevadero, además de brindar seguridad y comodidad.
In my day, I had to visit several hotels of the “Sunsol” chain, particularly Ecoland, where they are taking full advantage of the low influx of tourists to make the necessary repairs, for me, it is also positive, as it opens up job opportunities that require precision and dedication, as their filters have some damaged connections that need to be replaced urgently. Water quality is essential in a hotel, especially in recreational areas such as swimming pools and filtration systems, so these improvements are a priority.
En mi jornada, debía visitar varios hoteles de la cadena "Sunsol" muy en particular Ecoland, donde están aprovechando al máximo la baja afluencia de turistas para realizar las reparaciones necesarias, para mí, también es positivo, ya que se abren oportunidades de trabajo que requieren precisión y dedicación, ya que sus filtros presentan algunas conexiones dañadas que necesitan ser reemplazadas con urgencia. La calidad del agua es esencial en un hotel, especialmente en áreas recreativas como piscinas y sistemas de filtración, por lo que estas mejoras son prioritarias.
During my tour, I walked extensively through the facility, inspecting each area where filters required intervention. The repair of some of these systems will be the responsibility of a technician working with us, and we will be able to complete the necessary improvements within the week.
Durante mi recorrido, caminé extensamente por la instalación, inspeccionando cada área donde los filtros requerían intervención. La reparación de algunos de estos sistemas será responsabilidad de un técnico que colabora con nosotros, y en el transcurso de la semana lograremos completar las mejoras necesarias.
However, it was not all work. Today the weather was particularly hot, which forced us to be attentive to hydration at all times. It is essential on long days like this one to make sure to drink enough water and avoid fatigue from the extreme heat. On several occasions, we took short breaks to replenish energy and keep cool.
After finishing the tour, my husband and I were really exhausted, and the heat had left us drained. It was then that we decided to find something to refresh ourselves, and there was nothing better than a nice ice-cold nacelle to compensate for the physical exhaustion. After a few minutes, we opted to visit Icen Cream, an ice cream parlor located in the mall, where we enjoyed a delicious ice cream bar that gave us back some energy. These types of moments, although simple, make the day feel less heavy and allow us to enjoy small pleasures in the middle of the routine.
Sin embargo, no todo fue trabajo. Hoy el clima estuvo particularmente caluroso, lo que nos obligó a estar atentos a la hidratación en todo momento. Es imprescindible en jornadas largas como esta asegurarse de tomar suficiente agua y evitar la fatiga por el calor extremo. En varias ocasiones, hicimos pausas breves para reponer energía y mantenernos frescos.
Después de finalizar el recorrido, mi esposo y yo estábamos realmente agotados, y el calor nos había dejado sin fuerzas. Fue entonces cuando decidimos buscar algo para refrescarnos, y nada mejor que una buena barquilla helada para compensar el desgaste físico. Luego de unos minutos, optamos por visitar Icen Cream, una heladería ubicada en el centro comercial, donde disfrutamos de una deliciosa barquilla que nos devolvió un poco de energía. Este tipo de momentos, aunque simples, hacen que la jornada se sienta menos pesada y nos permiten disfrutar pequeños placeres en medio de la rutina.
Once the day's agenda was accomplished, we returned home with the satisfaction of having completed all the scheduled tasks. It was time to rest and prepare for what is to come in the next few days, as there are still several repairs pending and the work is not finished.
