[ENG/ESP] A Sunday with the aroma of cappuccino
Happy start to the week, everyone! I hope these days ahead are filled with joy, productivity, and good times. It's always nice to hope that the week will bring new opportunities, lessons, and experiences that make us feel more fulfilled. In my case, I decided to start this week with more energy than last week, as I'm gradually feeling much better and my work commitments, as always, are there waiting to be fulfilled responsibly.
Sunday was a special day, different because we spent it relaxing at home. After a week of activities, we needed a break, and what better way than to devote time to our home and our little family routines. We took care of organizing the chicken coops, a task that seems simple but is very important, as our birds deserve to feel comfortable and well cared for. Besides, when they are calm and in a suitable space, they are also more productive, which fills us with satisfaction. It was a relaxed activity, done calmly.
The day passed serenely. We even treated ourselves to watching two movies that we had been meaning to see for a long time. It's funny how we sometimes accumulate titles to watch and leave them for “another day,” until finally the perfect moment arrives. That Sunday was ideal; no rush, no interruptions, just us enjoying the plot and each other's company.
After lunch, we felt like having a coffee. We didn't want to do it at home, but rather give the weekend a different touch. So we decided to go out and find a place where we could enjoy a good cappuccino. The weather was beautiful from the morning, with clear skies and a pleasant breeze, which made the trip to the city even more enjoyable. I took the opportunity to take some pictures of nature's whims, those details that always surprise us and seem like little gifts that nature offers us.
Feliz inicio de semana para todos, espero que estos días que comienzan estén llenos de alegría, productividad y buenos momentos. Siempre es bonito desear que la semana traiga consigo nuevas oportunidades, aprendizajes y experiencias que nos hagan sentir más plenos. En mi caso, me propuse comenzar esta semana con más energía que la anterior, pues poco a poco me voy sintiendo mucho mejor y los compromisos de trabajo, como siempre, están allí esperando ser cumplidos con responsabilidad.
El domingo fue un día especial, distinto, porque lo dedicamos a relajarnos en casa. Después de una semana de actividades, necesitábamos un respiro, y qué mejor manera que dedicar tiempo a nuestro hogar y a nuestras pequeñas rutinas familiares. Nos ocupamos de organizar los gallineros, una tarea que parece sencilla pero que tiene gran importancia, ya que nuestras aves merecen sentirse cómodas y bien cuidadas. Además, cuando ellas están tranquilas y en un espacio adecuado, también son más productivas, lo que nos llena de satisfacción. Fue una actividad relajada, hecha con calma.
La jornada transcurrió con serenidad. Incluso nos dimos el gusto de ver dos películas que teníamos pendientes desde hacía tiempo. Es curioso cómo a veces acumulamos títulos por ver y los dejamos para “otro día”, hasta que finalmente llega el momento perfecto. Ese domingo fue ideal; sin prisas, sin interrupciones, simplemente nosotros disfrutando de la trama y de la compañía mutua.
Después del almuerzo, surgió el antojo de tomar un café. No queríamos hacerlo en casa, sino darle un toque distinto al cierre del fin de semana. Así que decidimos salir y buscar un lugar donde pudiéramos disfrutar de un buen capuchino. El clima estuvo hermoso desde la mañana, con un cielo despejado y una brisa agradable, lo que hizo que el trayecto hacia la ciudad fuera aún más placentero. Aproveché para tomar algunas fotografías de los caprichos de la naturaleza, esos detalles que siempre sorprenden y que parecen pequeños regalos que la naturaleza nos ofrece.
Our destination was La Isla shopping center. There is a place there called “Chichen Hanna,” known mainly for its roasts and skewers, but which has a delicious secret: a coffee machine that makes truly excellent cappuccinos. We had already tried it on another occasion and loved it, so we didn't hesitate to repeat the experience.
Nuestro destino fue el centro comercial La Isla. Allí se encuentra un local llamado “Chichen Hanna”, conocido principalmente por sus asados y brochetas, pero que guarda un secreto delicioso; una máquina de café que prepara capuchinos realmente excelentes. Ya lo habíamos probado en otra ocasión y nos había encantado, así que no dudamos en repetir la experiencia.
We were fortunate because, even though it was Sunday afternoon and we weren't sure if it would be open, we found the place open and serving coffee. We ordered two medium cappuccinos. The process was interesting; since the product had clogged the machine, they had to open it up and immediately began preparing the mixture. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee began to fill the air, and it was impossible not to smile at such a comforting smell.
Tuvimos suerte, porque aunque era domingo en la tarde y teníamos la duda de si estaría abierto, encontramos el local funcionando y con café disponible. Pedimos dos capuchinos medianos. El proceso fue curioso; como el producto había tapado la máquina, tuvieron que abrirla y enseguida comenzó a preparar la mezcla. El aroma del café recién hecho empezó a llenar el ambiente, y fue imposible no sonreír ante ese olor tan reconfortante.
They served us cappuccinos accompanied by two packets of Amanecer sugar. Personally, I like it because it is a very fine sugar, which sweetens just enough with just a little bit. My husband, on the other hand, preferred to add two whole packets, as he likes his coffee very sweet. We sat down to chat, share our impressions of the day, and enjoy that simple but special moment.
Nos sirvieron los capuchinos acompañados de dos papeletas de azúcar Amanecer. Personalmente me gusta porque es un azúcar muy fina, que con apenas un poquito logra endulzar lo suficiente. Mi esposo, en cambio, prefirió colocar sus dos papeletas completas, pues disfruta el café bien dulcito. Nos sentamos a conversar, a compartir impresiones del día y a disfrutar de ese momento sencillo pero especial.
After finishing our coffee, we headed back home. The road was lined with beautiful scenery, making the trip a relaxing experience. It was like an extra gift on Sunday: being able to contemplate nature and feel that everything was calm. We arrived home feeling like we had ended the weekend in the best possible way, ready to start a new week with renewed energy.
Al terminar nuestro café, emprendimos el regreso a casa. El camino estuvo lleno de paisajes hermosos que hicieron del recorrido una experiencia relajante. Fue como un regalo adicional del domingo; poder contemplar la naturaleza y sentir que todo estaba en calma. Llegamos con la sensación de haber cerrado el fin de semana de la mejor manera, listos para comenzar una nueva semana con energías renovadas.
