[ENG/ESP] A Stroll Down Simplicio Rodríguez Avenue: A Journey Through Scenery That Will Captivate You
Hello Quirós, friends of #worldmappin, today I want to share with you in more detail my trip to the municipality of Gómez to carry out my work routine. Every trip to that part of the island has its own special charm, and although I’ve already mentioned in other posts how far the Sunsol Ecoland hotel is from our home, it never ceases to amaze me how pleasant this journey usually is, filled with landscapes that seem to renew themselves every day.
This time, we decided to take Simplicio Rodríguez Avenue, a road that always treats us to fresh sea air that feels like a deep breath before starting the day. This avenue is known for its beautiful views, and as soon as you turn onto it, the landscape begins to transform into a perfect blend of sea, hills, and open sky. The first thing that makes the view extraordinarily beautiful is Manzanillo Bay, with its anchored boats and motorboats, and the coming and going of seagulls and other birds that signal a sardine run. This bay, which still belongs to the municipality of Antolín del Campo, is a natural spectacle where the blue of the sky blends with the blue of the sea, creating a postcard-perfect scene that never grows old, no matter how many times you pass through this place.
Saludos Quirós, amigos de #worldmappin, hoy quiero compartirles con más detalle mi recorrido al municipio Gómez para realizar mi rutina de trabajo. Cada viaje hacia esa zona de la isla tiene su encanto particular, y aunque ya en otras publicaciones les he contado lo distante que está de nuestra casa el hotel Sunsol Ecoland, nunca deja de sorprenderme lo agradable que suele ser este trayecto, lleno de paisajes que parecen renovarse cada día.
En esta ocasión decidimos ir por la avenida Simplicio Rodríguez, una vía que siempre nos regala un aire fresco y marino que se siente como un respiro profundo antes de comenzar la jornada. Esta avenida es conocida por sus hermosas vistas, y apenas uno se adentra en ella, el paisaje comienza a transformarse en una mezcla perfecta de mar, cerros y cielo abierto. Lo primero que hace que la vista sea extraordinariamente hermosa es la bahía de Manzanillo, con sus botes y lanchas ancladas, y ese ir y venir de las gaviotas y otras aves que anuncian que hay recalo de sardina. Esta bahía, que aún pertenece al municipio Antolín del Campo, es un espectáculo natural donde el azul del cielo se funde con el azul del mar, creando una postal que nunca cansa, por veces que pase por este lugar.
Upon arriving at the Puerto Constanza lookout point, we officially enter the municipality of Gómez. From this vantage point, you can enjoy breathtaking views of the northern coastline of Margarita Island—a stretch of coastline that looks as if it were painted with strokes of light and breeze.
Al llegar al mirador de Puerto Constanza, ya entramos oficialmente al municipio Gómez. Desde este punto se pueden apreciar vistas privilegiadas del litoral norte de Isla Margarita, un tramo costero que parece pintado con pinceladas de luz y brisa.
Sometimes, after it has rained, the hills lining this avenue are prone to landslides and rockfalls. While this can be dangerous, it is also part of the natural dynamics of this mountainous area, which lies so close to the sea. Even so, the beauty of the route always ends up outweighing any concerns.
En ocasiones, cuando ha llovido, los cerros que bordean esta avenida suelen presentar movimientos de tierra y desprendimientos de rocas. Es algo que puede resultar peligroso, pero también es parte de la dinámica natural de esta zona montañosa que convive tan cerca del mar. Aun así, la belleza del recorrido siempre termina imponiéndose sobre cualquier preocupación.
Simplicio Rodríguez Avenue has another lookout point that bears the same name, and it’s one of my favorites because it offers a view of much of the natural beauty of the municipality of Gómez: its hills in various shades of green, part of the coastline, and also the Hesperia Margarita Hotel, which I’ve already shown you in other posts. From there, you can also see part of the hotel’s golf course, a splash of deep green that contrasts with the blue of the sea.
La avenida Simplicio Rodríguez tiene otro mirador que lleva su mismo nombre, y es uno de mis favoritos porque permite ver gran parte de la naturaleza del municipio Gómez: sus cerros con diferentes tonalidades de verde, parte del litoral costero y también el hotel Hesperia Margarita, que en otras publicaciones ya les he mostrado. Desde allí también se alcanza a ver parte del campo de golf del hotel, un toque de verde intenso que contrasta con el azul del mar.
Dear fellow travelers, walking along this avenue that runs along the northern coastline is an experience I highly recommend to anyone who loves nature as much as I do. It’s a path that leads directly to the Sunsol Ecoland Hotel, a wonderful choice for those who want to enjoy a peaceful setting, surrounded by greenery and a sea breeze. Every visit to this hotel is also an opportunity to reconnect with the essence of the island—its unhurried pace and authentic beauty.
Queridos amigos viajeros, recorrer esta avenida que bordea el litoral norte es una experiencia que recomiendo a quienes aman la naturaleza tanto como yo. Es un camino que conecta directamente con el hotel Sunsol Ecoland, una opción maravillosa para quienes desean disfrutar de un entorno tranquilo, rodeado de vegetación y brisa marina. Cada visita a este hotel es también una oportunidad para reconectar con la esencia de la isla, con su ritmo pausado y su belleza auténtica.
