[ENG/ESP] A Saturday That Also Deserved to Be Told
Sundays are almost always beautiful, and when spent with family, they become even better—warmer and more fulfilling. I sincerely hope you’re having a good time too, and that this day brings you peace and beautiful moments. Yesterday I promised I’d tell you how my last workday of the week would go, and here I am today, keeping my word, ready to tell you how my Saturday unfolded—a day that ended up being different from what we’d planned, but just as productive and full of scenery worth capturing with my camera.
Our initial plan was to go back to Ecoland, because we needed to monitor the water levels due to the recent increase in tourist traffic. However, our plans changed on Friday night, when we were notified that we needed to head to the Sunsol Unik Hotel. They urgently needed to check their water there, since the large number of tourists they were hosting meant they had to refill their tank with a water truck, and it was essential to chlorinate and disinfect the entire tank to ensure the quality of service at the hotel.
We got up early, almost at the first light of day, because we wanted to perform the service with the promptness and quality the hotel requires. The weather was a bit cloudy, with moments when the sun barely peeked through the clouds. It wasn’t as bright as it had been a few days earlier, but even so, the landscape had its own charm—a soft light that made everything look calmer and more serene. I took advantage of that atmosphere to snap a few photos with my camera, because every corner of the island has a unique beauty that I always love to share with you.
Los domingos casi siempre son hermosos, y cuando se comparten en familia se vuelven todavía mejores, más cálidos, más completos. Espero sinceramente que ustedes también la estén pasando bien, que este día les regale tranquilidad y momentos bonitos. Ayer quedé con ustedes en que les contaría cómo transcurriría mi último día de trabajo de la semana, y aquí estoy hoy, cumpliendo mi palabra, lista para narrarles cómo se desarrolló mi sábado, un día que terminó siendo distinto a lo que habíamos planificado, pero igual de productivo y lleno de paisajes que valió la pena capturar con mi lente.
Nuestra intención inicial era ir nuevamente a Ecoland, porque teníamos que monitorizar las aguas debido al flujo de turismo que ha aumentado en estos días. Sin embargo, los planes cambiaron desde la noche del viernes, cuando nos avisaron que debíamos dirigirnos al hotel Sunsol Unik. Allí necesitaban chequear sus aguas con urgencia, ya que por la cantidad de turistas que estaban recibiendo tuvieron que surtir su tanque con una gandola de agua, y era indispensable clorar y desinfectar todo el tanque para garantizar la calidad del servicio en el hotel.
Nos levantamos temprano, casi con el primer sonido del día, porque queríamos realizar el servicio con la prontitud y la calidad que el hotel requiere. El clima estaba un poco nublado, con momentos en los que el sol apenas asomaba entre las nubes. No era tan radiante como días atrás, pero aun así el paisaje tenía su propio encanto, una luz suave que hacía que todo se viera más calmado, más sereno. Aproveché ese ambiente para capturar algunas fotografías con mi lente, porque cada rincón de la isla tiene una belleza particular que siempre me gusta compartir con ustedes.
The walk to the hotel was lighthearted and pleasant. Although the sky was partly cloudy, the breeze was cool, and the atmosphere had that special touch that only cloudy days can offer.
El camino hacia el hotel se hizo ligero y agradable. Aunque el cielo estaba parcialmente cubierto, la brisa era fresca y el ambiente tenía ese toque especial que solo los días nublados pueden ofrecer.
When we arrived, we were greeted by the maintenance manager, who was already aware of the situation and accompanied us to begin the routine chlorination and disinfection of the tank. We worked diligently, checking every detail and making sure everything was within the proper parameters.
Al llegar, nos recibió el gerente de mantenimiento, quien ya estaba al tanto de la situación y nos acompañó para iniciar la rutina de cloración y desinfección del tanque. Trabajamos con dedicación, revisando cada detalle, asegurándonos de que todo quedara en los parámetros adecuados.
Once we were done, we checked the levels, and seeing that everything was in order, we headed home with the satisfaction of a job well done. That feeling of ending the day knowing you’ve done a good job is always comforting. After that, we made a quick stop to fill up the car before heading home, where our well-deserved rest awaited us.
Una vez terminamos, comprobamos los niveles y, al ver que todo estaba correcto, nos retiramos con la satisfacción del deber cumplido. Esa sensación de cerrar una jornada con la certeza de haber hecho un buen trabajo siempre es reconfortante. Después de eso, dimos un pequeño recorrido para colocar combustible al auto antes de dirigirnos a casa, donde nos esperaba nuestro merecido descanso.
