Greetings to all, I sincerely hope you are enjoying your weekend, whether it be relaxing, spending time with loved ones, or simply taking a moment for yourselves. For my part, I have tried to relax a little, although as is often the case, there are always a few loose ends to tie up and tasks that cannot wait. Even so, I gave myself permission to take things easy and enjoy the little moments that make the day special.
After completing some chores at home, we decided to go out and pick up a package that was waiting to be collected. The weather was beautiful, with clear skies and a gentle breeze that made the walk much more pleasant. I took advantage of the natural light to capture some landscapes that I found truly beautiful. One of the moments that caught my attention the most was seeing some cows grazing very close to the road. I stopped for a while to watch them and take some pictures. I didn't get too close out of fear, but that didn't stop me from capturing the moment.
Mis saludos para todos, espero sinceramente que estén disfrutando de su fin de semana, ya sea descansando, compartiendo con sus seres queridos o simplemente tomándose un momento para sí mismos. Por mi parte, he intentado relajarme un poco, aunque como suele suceder, siempre hay algunos pendientes que resolver y tareas que no esperan. Aun así, me di el permiso de tomar las cosas con calma y disfrutar de los pequeños momentos que hacen especial el día.
Después de completar algunos deberes en casa, decidimos salir a buscar una encomienda que estaba pendiente por recoger. El clima estaba radiante, con un cielo despejado y una brisa suave que hacía el paseo mucho más agradable. Aproveché esa luz natural para capturar algunos paisajes que me parecieron realmente hermosos. Uno de los momentos que más me llamó la atención fue ver unas vacas pastando muy cerca de la vía. Me detuve un rato para observarlas y tomar algunas fotos, no me acerque mucho por temor, pero no por eso deje de capturar ese momento.
I would like to mention that I have a floor polisher at home that has been very helpful in keeping the floor in good condition. It is a tool that has been with me for several years and has performed its function very efficiently. However, a few days ago, while polishing the living room, one of its pulleys broke. I felt very distressed at that moment because, as it is an old machine, I was afraid I would not be able to find spare parts easily. To my surprise and relief, my son managed to find the pulleys online. As Monday is a holiday, some stores were open on Saturday, and we took the opportunity to go and pick up the parts. We bought three pulleys, just in case, as we don't know when it might break down again or if it will be possible to find them in the future.
The sadness I felt about the polisher only lasted two and a half days. Knowing that I will be able to continue using it made me very happy.
Les comento que en casa tengo una pulidora que me ha sido de gran ayuda para mantener el piso en buen estado. Es una herramienta que ha estado conmigo por varios años y ha cumplido su función con mucha eficiencia. Sin embargo, hace unos días, mientras pulía la sala, una de sus poleas se quebró. Sentí una gran angustia en ese momento, porque al ser un equipo antiguo, temía no encontrar repuestos fácilmente. Para mi sorpresa y alivio, mi hijo logró conseguir las poleas por internet. Como el lunes será feriado, este sábado algunas tiendas abrieron, y aprovechamos para ir a retirar las piezas. Compramos tres poleas, por si acaso, ya que no sabemos cuándo podría volver a fallar ni si será posible conseguirlas en el futuro.
La tristeza que sentí por la pulidora solo me duró dos días y medio. Saber que podré seguir usándola me dio una gran alegría.
What's more, the walk to pick up the pulleys turned into a little urban adventure. Walking around the city allowed me to appreciate how beautiful it was that day. The colors of the sky, the vegetation, and everyday life blended together in a harmony that you rarely notice when you're in such a hurry.
Además, el paseo para retirar las poleas se convirtió en una pequeña aventura urbana. Recorrer la ciudad me permitió apreciar lo bonita que estaba ese día. Los colores del cielo, la vegetación y la vida cotidiana se mezclaban en una armonía que pocas veces se nota cuando uno va tan de prisa.
During the tour, I was struck by a car decorated with the image of the Virgin of the Valley. Her celebration is coming up soon, and that always creates a special atmosphere on the island. It is a very important event for the inhabitants and also for the tourists, who arrive in large numbers to participate in the festivities. Seeing that devotion reflected in everyday details, such as the decoration of a vehicle, made me feel even more connected to the traditions.
Durante el recorrido, me llamó la atención un auto decorado con la imagen de la Virgen del Valle. Su celebración está muy cerca, y eso siempre genera un ambiente especial en la Isla. Es un acontecimiento muy importante para los habitantes y también para los turistas, que llegan en gran número para participar en las festividades. Ver esa devoción reflejada en los detalles cotidianos, como la decoración de un vehículo, me hizo sentir aún más conectado con las tradiciones.
Excited to have my old polisher working again, we returned home. It was a simple day, but full of meaningful moments. Sometimes it doesn't take much to feel fulfilled; all it takes is a walk, an unexpected solution, an image that moves us, or simply enjoying everyday life.
I hope you enjoyed this little tour as much as I did. It gave me great pleasure to share with you a little piece of my daily life, those experiences that, although simple, have a special value. I'll see you again in another of my posts. See you soon.

Con la emoción de tener nuevamente mi vieja pulidora funcionando, regresamos a casa. Fue un día sencillo, pero lleno de momentos significativos. A veces no se necesita mucho para sentirse pleno; basta con un paseo, una solución inesperada, una imagen que nos conmueve o simplemente el disfrute de lo cotidiano.

When the pulley of your floor polisher broke, I can imagine how stressful it was, especially since it’s an old machine and finding parts isn’t easy. It was really fortunate that your son managed to look online and get exactly what you needed.
