[ENG/ESP] A gray day, working with warm gestures.
Hello, I wish you a wonderful Friday and hope you are getting ready to relax this weekend. It's always good to take a moment to disconnect, breathe deeply, and recharge your batteries. Although not every weekend is conducive to rest, we can at least try to find small moments of peace between responsibilities.
I don't think mine will be very restful. Aside from work, which never stops, my father is still not 100% well, and that's something that occupies my mind and worries me. His health is a priority, and although he is undergoing rigorous treatment, he requires a lot of attention and monitoring. I have to be patient and wait for his blood pressure to stabilize and reach normal levels. It's a slow process, but I'm confident that with perseverance, we'll soon see significant improvements.
Yesterday, Thursday, the weather was quite cloudy at dawn. It even rained heavily in some parts of the island. Despite that, I didn't stop. I had to go see how my father was doing, check his blood pressure, and make sure he was okay before I left for work. It's part of my routine, and although it's sometimes difficult, I do it with the best of intentions.
Hola, les deseo un lindo viernes y espero que se estén preparando para descansar su fin de semana. Siempre es bueno tener un momento para desconectarse, respirar profundo y recargar energías. Aunque no todos los fines de semana se prestan para el descanso, al menos podemos intentar encontrar pequeños momentos de paz entre las responsabilidades.
No creo que el mío sea muy descansado, aparte del trabajo que es algo que no se detiene, aún mi padre no está 100% bien del todo y eso es algo que me ocupa y preocupa. Su salud es una prioridad, y aunque está bajo un tratamiento riguroso, requiere de mucha atención y seguimiento. Tengo que ser paciente y esperar que toda su tensión arterial logre estabilizarse y alcanzar niveles normales. Es un proceso lento, pero confío en que con constancia, pronto veremos mejoras significativas.
Ayer jueves el clima amaneció bastante nublado. Incluso llovió en algunos puntos de la Isla con intensidad. A pesar de eso, no me detuve. Tenía que ir a ver cómo mi padre amaneció, revisar su tensión y asegurarse de que estuviera bien antes de irme a trabajar. Es parte de mi rutina, y aunque a veces se hace cuesta arriba, lo hago con la mejor disposición.
After making sure he had breakfast and took his medicine, I went out to do my job. Since even cloudy days have their charm, I took the opportunity to take some pictures of the landscape. I like to capture those moments, because even in the grayness of an overcast sky there is beauty. The clouds, the breeze, the sound of the rain... everything has its magic if we look closely.
Después de cerciorarme de que desayunara y tomara su medicamento, salí a hacer mi trabajo. Como hasta los días nublados tienen su encanto, aproveché para tomar algunas fotografías del paisaje. Me gusta capturar esos momentos, porque incluso en la grisura de un cielo encapotado hay belleza. Las nubes, la brisa, el sonido de la lluvia… todo tiene su magia si lo miramos con atención.
When I arrived at the hotel, I was greeted as usual, with kindness and goodwill. I measured some parameters and everything was running normally. That makes me happy because I know that, at least in that regard, everything is going well. It gives me peace of mind to know that the work is being done correctly and that the results are positive.
Al llegar al hotel, me recibieron como de costumbre, con amabilidad y buena disposición. Realicé la medición de algunos parámetros y todo estaba marchando con normalidad. Eso me hace feliz porque sé que, al menos en ese aspecto, todo va bien. Me da tranquilidad saber que el trabajo se está haciendo correctamente y que los resultados son positivos.
At the end of our workday, my husband and I decided to go to the Parque Costa Azul shopping center to get a cone at an ice cream shop right at the entrance to the food court. The ice cream shop had quite a variety of flavors, which I found interesting. However, to be honest, that little cone didn't have the texture I expected. It was nothing like McDonald's ice cream, which has that creaminess that I love so much and always leaves me satisfied. My husband liked it, because his palate isn't as demanding as mine. For him, as long as it's sweet, it's welcome. It amuses me how he can enjoy such simple things so easily.
Al terminar nuestra jornada laboral, mi esposo y yo decidimos entrar al centro comercial Parque Costa Azul para tomar una barquilla en una heladería que está justo a la entrada del área de comida. La heladería tenía bastante variedad de sabores, lo cual me pareció interesante. Sin embargo, siendo sincera, esa barquillita no tenía la textura que esperaba. Nada parecido al helado de McDonald's, que tiene esa cremosidad que tanto me gusta y que siempre me deja satisfecha. A mi esposo sí le gustó, porque su paladar no es tan exigente como el mío. Para él, mientras sea dulce, bienvenido será. Me causa gracia cómo puede disfrutar cosas tan simples con tanta facilidad.
After that, we took a short walk around the mall, looked at some shop windows, and chatted for a while. It was a pleasant moment, albeit brief. Sometimes those little shared moments make all the difference on a day full of responsibilities.

Después de eso, dimos una pequeña vuelta por el centro comercial, vimos algunas vitrinas y conversamos un rato. Fue un momento agradable, aunque breve. A veces esos pequeños espacios compartidos hacen la diferencia en un día lleno de responsabilidades.
