[ENG/ESP] A different kind of Tuesday that felt special
Happy Tuesday, everyone! I sincerely hope your day is a good one—productive and filled with little joys that make the journey a little easier. I can guarantee that mine will be, one hundred percent. After several weeks of intense work on the first phase of the Ecoland Hotel’s desalination plant, we finally had a different kind of day—a breather from the routine that allowed us to do something else that’s just as important: see our clients, greet them, and remind them that we’re still here.
During those weeks of nonstop work, there were appointments we couldn’t attend to in person. Fortunately, we have friends who supported us and stepped in to cover those commitments. They did an excellent job, but even so, we knew that our clients value seeing us, chatting for a moment, and feeling that closeness we always strive to maintain. That’s why, since we didn’t have to go to Ecoland today, my husband and I decided to visit several of those places—not to work, but to introduce ourselves, share a few words, and reinforce that trust we cherish so much.
The morning began with a little detail that cheered us up; as we left the house, we noticed that many children had already returned to school. The streets were livelier than they had been in recent days, with that bustle that signals the school routine has picked up its pace again. Even the weather seemed to match the general mood; the sky was rosy at dawn, with a shade of blue so beautiful that it was impossible not to feel a little more energetic. It was one of those days when the atmosphere seems to tell you that everything is going to turn out all right.

Después de varias semanas de trabajo intenso en la primera etapa de la planta desalinizadora del hotel Ecoland, finalmente tuvimos un día distinto, un respiro dentro de la rutina que nos permitió hacer algo que también es importante; ver a nuestros clientes, saludarlos y recordarles que seguimos presentes.
Durante esas semanas de labor continua, hubo servicios que no pudimos atender personalmente. Afortunadamente contamos con amigos que nos apoyaron y se encargaron de cubrirnos en esos compromisos. Ellos hicieron un excelente trabajo, pero aun así sabíamos que nuestros clientes valoran vernos, conversar un momento y sentir esa cercanía que siempre procuramos mantener. Por eso, como hoy no teníamos que ir a Ecoland, mi esposo y yo decidimos hacer un recorrido por varios de esos lugares, no para trabajar, sino para presentarnos, compartir unas palabras y reforzar esa confianza que tanto apreciamos.
La mañana comenzó con un detalle que nos alegró; al salir de casa notamos que muchos niños ya habían regresado a clases. Las calles estaban más vivas que días atrás, con ese movimiento que anuncia que la rutina escolar volvió a tomar su ritmo. Incluso el clima parecía acompañar el ánimo general; el cielo amaneció rosagante, con un azul tan hermoso que era imposible no sentir un poquito más de energía. Era uno de esos días en los que el ambiente parece decirte que todo va a salir bien.
We visited several clients, and they all agreed on one thing: they missed us during those days. However, they were also pleased because their service never stopped, which is essential to us. Knowing that the quality remained consistent, even when we weren’t there, gives us peace of mind and makes us proud of the team that supports us.
We saved the Parque Costa Azul shopping center for last, where we were greeted with almost familial enthusiasm—like when you see a loved one after several days. That warmth is always appreciated.
Visitamos a varios clientes y todos coincidieron en algo: nos extrañaron durante esos días. Sin embargo, también estaban complacidos porque nunca dejaron de recibir su servicio, lo cual para nosotros es fundamental. Saber que la calidad se mantuvo, aun cuando no estuvimos presentes, nos da tranquilidad y orgullo por el equipo que nos respalda.
Dejamos para el final el centro comercial Parque Costa Azul, donde nos recibieron con un entusiasmo casi familiar, como cuando ves a alguien querido después de varios días. Esa calidez siempre se agradece.
After chatting and catching up, we decided to hang out for a while in the food court at the mall. There was a big screen showing a soccer game, and, just for a change of pace, we thought it would be a good idea to stay and watch it.
Después de conversar y ponernos al día, decidimos quedarnos un rato en el área de comida del centro comercial. Había una pantalla grande transmitiendo un partido de fútbol y, para hacer algo diferente, nos pareció buena idea quedarnos a verlo.
Since all the tables on the lower level were taken, we went up to the upper level. And it’s a good thing we did, because that’s exactly where Helados Maldonado is. We didn’t miss the chance to enjoy some ice cream while watching the game. That little detail made the afternoon special. Sometimes, doing something different—even if it’s simple—is enough to lift your spirits, no matter how overwhelmed you might feel.
Como todas las mesas de la parte baja estaban ocupadas, subimos al nivel superior. Y qué bueno que fue así, porque justo allí está Helados Maldonado. No perdimos la oportunidad de disfrutar un helado mientras veíamos el partido. Ese pequeño detalle convirtió la tarde en algo especial. A veces, hacer cosas distintas, aunque sean sencillas, es suficiente para alegrar el corazón, por abrumado que esté.
At the end of the day, as we were heading home, I felt that this little outing had been more than just a courtesy visit. It was something truly beautiful that reminds us that life is also made up of these quiet moments, brief conversations, unexpected ice cream treats, and games watched from a high table. These are moments that, while not extraordinary, fill the soul.
