As I have mentioned on other occasions, this week I had to work over the weekend, and although many see it as a sacrifice, for me it was a productive day that I want to share with you in detail. Sometimes, even in the midst of the work routine, there are moments that deserve to be recounted, because they remind us that every day has its own charm.
The morning began with a completely cloudy sky. The rain fell very lightly, almost like a veil covering the city, and the cool air invited us to wrap up warm. As a precaution, I protected myself and put on my face mask. Health is a priority, especially in these times when taking care of yourself is an act of responsibility towards yourself and others.
As we were getting ready to leave the house, the sky seemed to improve a little, but as soon as we set off for the Ecoland Hotel, the clouds closed in again and the rain intensified. That's the weather in Margarita: changeable, capricious, but always with a special touch that makes it unforgettable. We decided to take the coastal road because it offers unique views of the sea, the mountains, and the landscapes that remind me so much of the island where I grew up. Although it was a gray day, the contrast between the waves and the clouds had an intuitive beauty that prompted me to take some photographs to share.

Como ya les he contado en otras ocasiones, esta semana me tocó trabajar durante el fin de semana, y aunque muchos lo ven como un sacrificio, para mí fue una jornada productiva que quiero compartirles con detalle. A veces, incluso en medio de la rutina laboral, se esconden momentos que merecen ser contados, porque nos recuerdan que cada día tiene su propio encanto.
La mañana comenzó con un cielo completamente nublado. La lluvia caía muy fina, casi como un velo que cubría la ciudad, y el aire fresco invitaba a abrigarse bien. Por precaución, me protegí, además me coloqué el tapabocas. La salud es prioridad, y más en estos tiempos donde cuidarse es un acto de responsabilidad hacia uno mismo y hacia los demás.
Mientras nos preparábamos para salir de casa, el cielo parecía mejorar un poco, pero apenas tomamos rumbo hacia el Hotel Ecoland, las nubes volvieron a cerrarse y la lluvia se intensificó. Así es el clima en Margarita; cambiante, caprichoso, pero siempre con un toque especial que lo hace inolvidable. Decidimos tomar la carretera del litoral costero, porque ese trayecto nos regala vistas únicas del mar, de las montañas y de los paisajes que tanto me recuerdan a la isla donde crecí. Aunque el día estaba gris, el contraste entre las olas y las nubes tenía una belleza intuitiva que me impulsó a capturar algunas fotografías para compartirlas.
On the way, the rain grew heavier, beating insistently against the vehicle's windows. However, when we arrived at the hotel, it gradually subsided until it stopped completely, as if nature had given us permission to begin our work.
Durante el camino, la lluvia se volvió más fuerte, golpeando los vidrios del vehículo con insistencia. Sin embargo, al llegar al hotel, poco a poco fue menguando hasta detenerse por completo, como si la naturaleza nos hubiera dado permiso para comenzar nuestra labor.
There we met Carel, always charismatic and full of energy, and Cristian, a young worker who brings enthusiasm and commitment. Together we set out to perform our routine in the hotel's main tank, a task that requires precision and care.
The first thing was to check the tank's capacity, making sure the values were correct. Then we proceeded with the necessary chlorination and disinfection to ensure that everything was working optimally. The work went very well, and that feeling of peace of mind that comes with fulfilling our responsibility accompanied us throughout the day. Knowing that everything was in order allowed us to breathe calmly and enjoy the surroundings a little more.
Allí nos encontramos con Carel, siempre carismática y llena de energía, y con Cristian, un joven trabajador que aporta entusiasmo y compromiso. Juntos nos dispusimos a realizar nuestra rutina en el tanque principal del hotel, una tarea que requiere precisión y cuidado.
Lo primero fue revisar la capacidad del tanque, asegurándonos de que los valores estuvieran correctos. Luego procedimos con la cloración y la desinfección necesarias para garantizar que todo funcionara de manera óptima. El trabajo salió muy bien, y esa sensación de tranquilidad que da cumplir con la responsabilidad nos acompañó durante toda la jornada. Saber que todo estaba en orden nos permitió respirar con calma y disfrutar un poco más del entorno.
Since we had no more tasks to complete at the hotel, I took advantage of the moment to take some photographs from different angles. The sky was still cloudy, but that mixture of dim light and soft shadows gave the landscape a mysterious and enchanting air. I like to think that even gray days have their own poetry, and that beauty is not always found in the obvious, but in those details that are revealed when one stops to observe.
Como ya no teníamos más tareas pendientes en el hotel, aproveché el momento para tomar algunas fotografías desde distintos ángulos. El cielo seguía nublado, pero esa mezcla de luz tenue y sombras suaves le daba un aire misterioso y encantador al paisaje. Me gusta pensar que incluso los días grises tienen su propia poesía, y que la belleza no siempre se encuentra en lo evidente, sino en esos detalles que se revelan cuando uno se detiene a observar.
And so another day of our work routine at Sunsol came to an end. It may seem like a repetitive task, but every day has something different to offer: unexpected weather, a pleasant conversation, a photograph that captures the essence of the moment. And that is precisely what motivates me to continue sharing these experiences with you, because I know that behind every story there is a little piece of life that deserves to be remembered.
