Every day has its own story, and that's why no two days are alike. Life gives us different moments, some full of joy and others laden with nostalgia, but all with a lesson that invites us to move forward. The important thing is to put your heart and soul into it, because only then can each day become an excellent experience. That's the attitude I try to maintain, and I wish the same for everyone else.
Here in Margarita, the weather gave us a splendid morning. The sky was clear, with that intense blue that seems infinite, and the sun began to warm up early, illuminating the streets and filling everything with energy. Those sunny days have something magical about them.
However, the day also brought unexpected news. A few minutes after leaving home to deliver some invoices, I received a call from a friend. Her voice, heavy with sadness, informed me that the mother of our dear friend @denissemata had passed away during the night. The news left me stunned, with a lump in my throat and a silence that accompanied me for several minutes. I immediately tried to contact her, but when I got no answer, I decided to leave her a message full of love and support, because in those moments, even small words can be a comforting embrace.
Cada día tiene su propia historia, y por eso ninguno se parece al anterior. La vida nos regala momentos distintos, algunos llenos de alegría y otros cargados de nostalgia, pero todos con un aprendizaje que nos invita a seguir adelante. Lo importante es ponerle ganas, entusiasmo y corazón, porque solo así cada jornada puede convertirse en una experiencia excelente. Esa es la actitud que intento mantener y que también deseo para todos.
Aquí en Margarita, el clima nos regaló una mañana espléndida. El cielo estaba despejado, con ese azul intenso que parece infinito, y el sol comenzó a calentar desde temprano, iluminando las calles y llenando de energía todo. Esos días soleados tienen algo mágico.
Sin embargo, la jornada también trajo consigo una noticia inesperada. A pocos minutos de salir de casa para realizar unas entregas de facturas, recibí la llamada de un amigo. Su voz, cargada de tristeza, me informó que la mamá de nuestra querida amiga @denissemata había fallecido durante la noche. Esa noticia me dejó desconcertada, con un nudo en la garganta y un silencio que me acompañó por varios minutos. De inmediato intenté comunicarme con ella, pero al no obtener respuesta decidí dejarle un mensaje lleno de cariño y apoyo, porque en esos momentos las palabras, aunque pequeñas, pueden ser un abrazo que reconforta.
With my heart still tender, we continued on our way. I had to fulfill my commitments: take my medication and deliver the invoices to the Unik hotel and the Parque Costa Azul shopping center. These days, I've decided to take things easy, without neglecting my work, but prioritizing my health, because I know that to perform at my best, I have to be at 100 percent. That's a lesson life has taught me: the balance between fulfilling responsibilities and taking care of oneself.
Con el corazón aún sensible, continuamos el camino. Tenía que cumplir con mis compromisos; colocarme un medicamento y entregar las facturas en el hotel Unik y en el centro comercial Parque Costa Azul. En estos días he decidido llevar las cosas con calma, sin descuidar el trabajo, pero priorizando mi salud, porque sé que para rendir al máximo debo estar al cien por ciento. Esa es una lección que la vida me ha enseñado: el equilibrio entre cumplir con las responsabilidades y cuidar de uno mismo.
After handing in the invoices, it was already lunchtime. We walked around the mall for a bit, checking out the options and enjoying the stroll. As we passed by the movie theater, we noticed that the film La Orilla was already showing. I was excited to see it there, because it is the first horror film made in Margarita, created by a very young producer who has put his heart and soul into this project. Its official premiere will be on the 26th of this month, and I already recommend it, not only because of the genre, but also because of the pride I feel in seeing such passionate talent emerge.
Después de entregar las facturas, ya era la hora del almuerzo. Caminamos un poco por el centro comercial, observando las opciones y disfrutando del paseo. Al pasar por el cine, nos llamó la atención que la película La Orilla ya estaba en cartelera. Me emocionó verla allí, porque se trata de la primera película de terror realizada en Margarita, creada por un productor muy joven que ha puesto todo su corazón y sus ilusiones en este proyecto. Su estreno oficial será el 26 de este mes, y desde ya la recomiendo, no solo por el género, sino por el orgullo que representa ver surgir talentos con tanta pasión.
Since we couldn't find a place we liked to eat in the mall, we decided to head to the Ecocenter. They make cheese puffs there that are truly delicious. They served us right away, with the friendliness that characterizes the bakery, and the pastry arrived at the table warm, with that irresistible aroma that whets your appetite. We accompanied it with a refreshing juice, while my husband, who loves sweets, couldn't resist ordering a guava bread that looked delicious. One of the things I like most about Ecocenter is the speed of service and the freshness of its products, which are always of excellent quality.
Como no conseguimos un lugar que nos convenciera para comer en el centro comercial, decidimos dirigirnos al Ecocenter. Allí preparan unos hojaldres de queso que son una verdadera delicia. Nos atendieron enseguida, con esa amabilidad que caracteriza a la panadería, y el pastel llegó a la mesa calentito, con ese aroma irresistible que abre el apetito. Lo acompañamos con un jugo refrescante, mientras mi esposo, amante de los dulces, no pudo resistirse a pedir un pan de guayaba que se veía exquisito. Una de las cosas que más me gusta de Ecocenter es la rapidez en la atención y la frescura de sus productos, siempre de excelente calidad.
With our hearts and stomachs satisfied, we set off on our journey home. But first, as was inevitable, we stopped by our friend's house to offer our support at such a difficult time. There, with respect and affection, we said goodbye to her mother, whom we all knew as “Pemita.” That affectionate name reflected the closeness and affection that those of us who knew her always felt for her. It was a moment of reflection, of remembering her presence and accompanying the family in their grief.
That's how our day went, between the sunlight, daily tasks, the surprise of a cultural project that fills us with pride, and the sadness of a farewell that reminds us how fragile and precious life is. Every day teaches us something different, and today left me with the certainty that we must value every moment, enjoy the little details, and be present for those around us.

Con el corazón y el estómago satisfechos, emprendimos el regreso a casa. Pero antes, como era inevitable, pasamos por la casa de nuestra amiga para darle nuestro apoyo en ese momento tan difícil. Allí, con respeto y cariño, nos despedimos de su madre, a quien todos conocíamos como “Pemita”. Ese nombre cariñoso reflejaba la cercanía y el afecto que quienes la tratamos siempre sentimos por ella. Fue un instante de recogimiento, de recordar su presencia y de acompañar a la familia en su dolor.
Así transcurrió nuestro día, entre la luz del sol, las tareas cotidianas, la sorpresa de un proyecto cultural que nos llena de orgullo, y la tristeza de una despedida que nos recuerda lo frágil y valiosa que es la vida. Cada jornada nos enseña algo distinto, y la de hoy me dejó la certeza de que debemos valorar cada momento, disfrutar de los pequeños detalles y estar presentes para quienes nos rodean.
