[ENG/ESP] A day of errands and everyday joys
Greetings, I wish you a wonderful day, full of serenity and good times. I hope mine is calmer and more peaceful than yesterday, as yesterday was quite intense, even though my work tasks were fairly simple.
I got up very early in the morning, as I usually do when I have important commitments. One of the first things I did was take a medication that is part of my treatment, and then I had to go and buy the next ones I needed. The weather, as is often the case on this beautiful island of Margarita, was capricious; at times the sky was cloudy and cool, and then the sun was shining brightly, illuminating every corner. That variability, far from bothering me, reminded me that nature always gives us beautiful landscapes.
Saludos, les deseo un día maravilloso, lleno de serenidad y buenos momentos. Espero que el mío también transcurra con más calma y tranquilidad que el de ayer, pues la jornada pasada estuvo marcada por cierta intensidad, aunque en lo laboral las tareas fueron bastante simples.
Me levanté muy temprano en la mañana, como suelo hacerlo cuando tengo compromisos importantes. Una de las primeras diligencias fue colocarme un medicamento que forma parte de mi tratamiento, y luego debía adquirir los siguientes que me correspondían. El clima, como suele suceder en esta hermosa isla de Margarita, estaba caprichoso; por momentos el cielo se mostraba nublado y fresco, y al rato el sol brillaba con fuerza, iluminando cada rincón. Esa variabilidad, lejos de incomodarme, me recordó que la naturaleza siempre nos regala paisajes hermosos.
After completing the first task, we headed to the Unik hotel to deliver the week's invoices. We left everything organized there so that they could be processed, and once that was done, we continued our journey into the city. The goal was to get the medication and a specific 24 mm needle. However, the first pharmacies we visited only had 32 mm needles. The doctor had insisted on the exact size, as my veins are somewhat narrow and a thinner needle makes the procedure less painful and much safer.
Después de cumplir con la primera tarea, nos dirigimos al hotel Unik para entregar las facturas de la semana. Allí dejamos todo organizado para que fueran procesadas y, una vez concluido ese trámite, seguimos nuestro recorrido hacia la ciudad. El objetivo era conseguir el medicamento y una aguja específica que debía ser de 24 mm. Sin embargo, en las primeras farmacias solo encontrábamos de 32 mm. La doctora había insistido en la medida exacta, pues mis venas son algo angostas y con una aguja más fina el procedimiento resulta menos doloroso y mucho más seguro.
After several inquiries, we were recommended a pharmacy near Pampatar where, fortunately, we managed to find the right needle along with the medication. That small victory filled us with relief, because it meant I could continue my treatment without interruption.
Tras varias consultas, nos recomendaron una farmacia cercana a Pampatar donde, afortunadamente, logramos encontrar la aguja adecuada junto con el medicamento. Esa pequeña victoria nos llenó de alivio, porque significaba que podía continuar mi tratamiento sin interrupciones.
In the midst of our preparations, as often happens, an unexpected setback arose: the car tire lost air. Fortunately, it wasn't serious damage, just a leak from the valve. The tire was in good condition, so with a quick adjustment we were able to fix it and continue on our way without any major concerns.
En medio de las diligencias, como suele ocurrir, apareció un contratiempo inesperado: el caucho del carro perdió aire. Por suerte, no se trataba de un daño grave, sino de un escape por la válvula. El caucho estaba en buenas condiciones, así que con un ajuste rápido pudimos resolver y continuar nuestro camino sin mayores preocupaciones.
Now calmer, we decided to visit my father, who had called me early that morning with great enthusiasm. His joy was due to the fact that his hen had laid nine eggs and had gone to roost, an event that was a source of pride and satisfaction for him. Seeing him so happy reminded me of the importance of appreciating small everyday achievements.
Ya más tranquilos, decidimos pasar a visitar a mi padre, quien desde temprano me había llamado con gran entusiasmo. Su alegría se debía a que su pava había puesto nueve huevos, y se había echado, un acontecimiento que para él era motivo de orgullo y satisfacción. Verlo tan contento me recordó la importancia de valorar los pequeños logros cotidianos.
Finally, we returned home to organize what we had acquired and put our pending tasks in order. The feeling at the end of the day was one of gratitude: despite the setbacks, everything worked out favorably and we were able to accomplish what we needed to do.
Life is made up of these little moments that become a testament to perseverance, patience, and joy.

Finalmente, regresamos a casa para organizar lo que habíamos adquirido y poner en orden las tareas pendientes. La sensación al concluir el día fue de gratitud: a pesar de los contratiempos, todo se resolvió de manera favorable y pudimos cumplir con lo necesario.
La vida está hecha de estos pequeños momentos que convierten en testimonio de perseverancia, paciencia y alegría.
