[ENG/ESP] A busy day that found peace by the sea
Happy Tuesday, dear friends. Today I want to share a little story about my day yesterday, expanded with more details and feelings, so you can join me in every moment and experience it as vividly as I did. I hope you have a great day, full of positive energy and those little things that bring joy to the heart.
Yesterday was my first workday of the week, and, as is often the case after a busy weekend, it started off quite hectic. I had to go to the Parque Costa Azul mall to attend an important meeting where we would discuss several quotes. These meetings, although necessary for everything to run smoothly, tend to wear me out mentally. They require concentration, patience, and a clear mind to make the right decisions. Even so, I knew I had to approach it with a positive attitude.
I left home early with my husband. As always, he offered to drive me there and then go about his day’s errands while I stayed at the meeting. He always supports me, shows me affection, and fills me with a deep sense of calm. The drive to the mall was lined with radiant scenery. The weather was perfect—a clear sky, a gentle breeze, and that golden light that only the island knows how to offer. I couldn’t help but take out my phone and capture some of those moments. I love saving those images so I can show them to you later and share a little piece of the beauty that surrounds me.

Hoy quiero compartirles un pequeño relato de mi día de ayer, extendido con más detalles y sensaciones, para que puedan acompañarme en cada momento y sentirlo tan cercano como yo lo viví. Les deseo desde ya un día genial, lleno de buena energía y de esas pequeñas cosas que alegran el corazón.
Ayer fue mi primer día de trabajo de la semana y, como suele ocurrir después de un fin de semana movido, comenzó bastante atareado. Tenía que ir al centro comercial Parque Costa Azul para asistir a una reunión importante donde discutiríamos varios presupuestos. Estas reuniones, aunque necesarias para que todo avance correctamente, suelen agotarme mentalmente. Requieren concentración, paciencia y mucha claridad para tomar decisiones acertadas. Aun así, sabía que debía afrontarla con buena disposición.
Salí temprano de casa acompañada de mi esposo. Él, como siempre, me ofreció llevarme y luego continuar con los servicios del día mientras yo me quedaba en la reunión. El siempre me apoya, me da cariño y me llena de gran tranquilidad. El camino hacia el centro comercial estuvo adornado por paisajes radiantes. El clima estaba perfecto, un cielo despejado, una brisa suave y esa luz dorada que solo la isla sabe regalar. No pude evitar sacar mi teléfono y capturar algunos de esos momentos. Me encanta guardar esas imágenes para luego mostrarles y compartirles un pedacito de la belleza que me rodea.
I arrived at the mall and headed to the meeting. It was long—longer than I expected—and didn’t end until the afternoon. Between numbers, proposals, and conversations, I felt my mind gradually becoming overwhelmed. When I finally left, I took a deep breath, as if I needed to get back into my own rhythm. My husband was waiting for me outside, and as soon as he saw me, he noticed how tired I was. With that sensitivity he has for reading me without me saying a word, he told me he wanted to take me to a special place.
Llegué al centro comercial y me dirigí a la reunión. Fue larga, más de lo que esperaba, y terminó en la tarde. Entre números, propuestas y conversaciones, sentí cómo mi mente se iba cargando poco a poco. Cuando finalmente salí, respiré profundo, como si necesitara recuperar mi propio ritmo. Mi esposo estaba esperándome afuera, y apenas me vio, notó mi cansancio. Con esa sensibilidad que tiene para leerme sin que yo diga una palabra, me dijo que quería llevarme a un lugar especial.
We went to sit by the sea. He knows that I love the sea, that for me it’s a refuge, a place where everything calms down and where my mind clears as if the waves were washing away all my worries. We stayed there for quite a while, listening to the sound of the water, feeling the breeze, and watching as the horizon began to change color. The clouds slowly spread out, covering the sun as if to herald the end of the day.
Fuimos a sentarnos cerca del mar. Él sabe que amo el mar, que para mí es un refugio, un espacio donde todo se calma y donde mi mente se despeja como si las olas se llevaran cualquier preocupación. Nos quedamos allí un buen rato, escuchando el sonido del agua, sintiendo la brisa y observando cómo el horizonte comenzaba a cambiar de color. Las nubes se extendían lentamente, cubriendo el sol como si anunciaran el final del día.
Before the clouds completely covered the sky, we decided to head home. And I must confess, dear friends, that I already felt as light as the breeze rustling the palm trees. That brief moment by the sea was enough to bring balance to a day that had started out so hectic.
