Wat Thep Phithak Punnaram, a fascinating temple, in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand - Part II

Further to my previous post, I forgot to tell you that this large white Buddha statue is named Phra Buddha Sakolsima Mongkol. It is the largest Buddha statue in the blessing posture in the world.

You can admire Phra Buddha Sakolsima Mongkol no matter where you stand in the temple area or even in the far distance, as I showed you in my previous post.

In the meantime, if you would like to pay homage to Phra Buddha Sakolsima Mongkol closely, you have to climb a total of 1,250 stairs to reach there. (these include the way up on the left side and the way down on the right side.)

The number of steps was built according to the Buddha's disciples, with 1,250 monks.

There are some pavilions for taking a break. By the way, my fatigue disappeared as I was lost in admiration of the nice surrounding nature of the forest and stunning scenery of the mountains in the far distance.

As you can see, apart from paying homage to the Buddha statue at Wat Thep Phithak Punnaram, you can also appreciate beautiful nature as well.
