Wat Rong Khun is famous as another landmark that you must not miss if you visit Chiang Rai province, in the North of Thailand.

It is a marvelous temple that stands out with its unique and extremely exquisite architecture. It’s considered as one of the great works of art.

It is a work of design and construction by Master Chalermchai Kositpipat, a Thai painter who has a variety of Thai paintings and is praised as national artist Visual Arts (Painting).

The most highlight of Wat Rong Khun is the "Ubosot". It stands out with its artistic uniqueness and the architecture is very magnificent. All details are different from other temples.

The Ubosot is in white color which represents the purity of the Buddha.

On the top of the Ubosot’s roof, you will see 4 animals that represent earth, water, wind, and fire, (elephant means earth, naga means water, swan wings means wind, and swan chest means fire.) We believe that these animals protect Buddhism.

Wat Rong Khun is as beautiful as a real paradise that exists on earth and we can touch it closely.

It’s a reminder for people to practice Dhamma and do only good karma in our life.

Inside the building, you will also see awesome paintings and impressive arts as well.

Can you guess what this beautiful golden building below is for?

It’s a toilet building…. What a wonderful design!

I can say that all the details in every corner in Wat Rong Khun is neat and delicate.

It’s a marvelous temple and worth a visit indeed.

p.s. I already presented Wat Rong Khun in my old article, but these photos are from new trip.
