Wat Lek Thammakit, an awesome old temple in Ayutthaya period - Part II

Referring to my previous post, even though the area of the old part is not large, it is beautiful at every corner, as you already saw in some photos.

The old ruined walls which were built with bricks look fascinating with the greenery of some plants growing on them.

In addition, the other valuable ruins are interesting and still look awesome.

It’s amazing that nature creates wonderful arts for us.

Group of small chedis that you can see in the far distance keep the bones of the local people’s ancestors.

They are for remembrance of their loved ones and for worship as well.

Besides, there are some small houses of spirits staying in the old area as well.

We believe that these spirits protect the temple and should pay respect to them as well.

I can say that Wat Lek Thammakit is an old religious site that is unique and mostly created by nature.

You will certainly enjoy walking around taking photos of these things.

And if you are a nature lover, the surrounding area and the atmosphere in this old part will especially please you.

A lot of trees make the whole area relaxing and refreshing and the atmosphere is really quiet.
