Phra Phuttha Phusayakiriya Sri Suwannaphum, the largest Buddha statue carved from a cliff in Supanburi province, Thailand
Phra Phuttha Phusayakiriya Sri Suwannaphum or well-known as Luang Pho U Thong is considered as the world's largest carved Buddha statue on the cliff.
This area used to be an old stone mine whose concession had expired. It was allowed by the authority to build it.
The cliff where Phra Phuttha Phusayakiriya Sri Suwannaphum was carved offers stunning views.
Apart from the magnificent large Buddha, the surrounding cliffs are also carved with various interesting Buddhist stories.
Besides, there are also waterfalls, beautiful mountains, and a large pool formed from an old quarry. You can enjoy and relax in a pavilion by the water as well.
