Making merit by feeding animals at Wat Ku, Nonthaburi province

Further to my previous 3 posts, apart from admiring beautiful things and asking for good fortune from sacred statues at Wat Ku, you can also make merit by donating money to save the lives of cows and buffaloes from other places and keep them alive in the temple. Or you may buy fresh grass or dried foods to feed them closely.

They are all in healthy bodies and really cute, especially the white buffaloes which I seldom saw in other places.

In the meantime, I felt so sad when seeing them staying together in a very narrow area like this. (or they may be allowed to walk outside sometimes, as I unfortunately stepped into their huge dung outside.... Haha!)

If you want to feed fish or birds, you can go straight to the Chao Phraya Riverside where you can see plenty of birds flying here and there and a lot of big fish swimming and gathering to eat the foods.

While feeding the fish, you can enjoy the picturesque scenery of the Chao Phraya Riverside and touch the fresh cool breeze from the river as well.

Standing here, you can admire the huge Buddha statue on the opposite side of the Chao Phraya River in the far distance.

Apart from the cows, the buffaloes, the birds, and the fish, at Wat Ku, you will also see the temple hens strolling freely around the temple compound and temple dogs lying comfortably here and there…

That day, I came back home with happiness in my mind due to the merit.
