Som Jeed, little fruits in my little garden

(Edited)

Apart from beautiful flowers, I also plant fruits in my little garden. There are mango plants, custard apple plants, lime plants and Som Jeed plants. All of them already produced fruits for me, except mango.

Som Jeed plants require little space, so I planted them in pots. They produce fruits throughout the year. The fruit is small and round and turns orange when ripe. It has a sour taste and is used as a substitute for lime.

In addition to eating, Som Jeed can also be grown as an ornamental plant since Som Jeed plant is a shrub with pointed, oval leaves, the flowers are white and fragrant, the green color of the leaves alternating with the orange color of the fruits makes Som Jeed plant look beautiful and attractive.

Therefore Som Jeed plant is a fruit tree that can be used to decorate the house perfectly.

That's why I love them to plant them.....

It does have a resemblance with the citrus family. Without mentioning the name of the fruit, I'd thought that it's some kind of orange fruit :)

Thanks a lot for your nice comment and for stopping by. You are right! It has a resemblance with the citrus family, as you said. It's some kind of orange fruit, but much smaller. The name Som Jeed in the Thai language means : Som means orange and Jeed means small or mini. ;)

Ah, glad I was close lol. The realm of plants is fairly interesting to me. I'd try to remember that Som Jeed means mini orange in Thai Language :)
