That's a fascinating place, I've never seen such a model of a city like that. It would be very interesting to tour the miniatures then go on a tour to see the buildings in full! I know you'll take lots of photos when you go to visit lol. The Banffy Castle is especially interesting to me as it has that conservation training center. I love researching and learning about the building and construction of those times. Modern buildings don't hold a candle to the old ones.

It's not unusual, I've seen miniatures of entire city in museums, especially when they want to show visitors what the old city looked like. Once I saw a miniature of a city, they recreated the city in 1940 or so, when the Jews were picked up one by one from their home and deported to Auschwitz. Their houses were marked, the light was one and the next phase was with lights off in those homes as they never came back. It's a very good way to showcase a lot of things.
Yes, I take a lot of photos as this is my way to share what I see :)
I think that's a fabulous way to document and pass along the knowledge of a city and it's journey through time. It seems as though it carries so much more impact when you can see it and study it, as opposed to simply reading about it in a book.
