What can you do in a candy store
Hello everyone!!! Today is Friday, which means we will talk about our purchases on #MarketFriday by @dswigle (see details here: https://ecency.com/hive-196308/@dswigle/seasons-end-market-friday).
What are you doing at the candy store? Strange question, right? 😄 Why go into this store if you don't intend to buy goodies? But we went there because of the heat! 😁
So our country has entered after the neighboring countries in a period of extreme heat. The temperature rises above +40 degrees Celsius in the shade. 😵 We have an orange level of warning, which means that you should be less outdoors and it is advisable to close the triss at home and turn on the air conditioners.
Usually we try not to go anywhere during such periods, but this afternoon we had to go to an important event. Bus stop very close to our house. In order not to wait for the bus under the sun, we decided to go to a candy store near the stop where the air conditioner worked. 😃
I haven't been here for a long time so I was curious about what sweets they have now.
To be honest, I rarely eat anything like this. But I love these candies from Ferrero.
And I love these too. I thought that I would definitely buy a box of Rafaelo chocolates in the near future.
I love how these candy boxes look - it's beautiful. But I don't know if these sweets are tasty. It happens that the boxes look amazing and the sweets are generally inedible. 😏
These candies are locally produced.
They are quite edible. But these that you see in the photo below, I do not like at all.
Opposite these stands were stands with children's temptations. They are located low so that children can easily take them. I really feel for their parents. 🤣
I managed to look at only a third of all the goods there, when my husband said that the bus would arrive very soon (he saw the time of the bus arrival on the application on his phone) and that it was time for us to leave the store.
Passing to the entrance, I managed to take the last shot inside the store. On the street, after the air-conditioned store, there was an impression that the heat had intensified even more. Not for nothing, I'll tell you, at the entrance to the store there are these large freezers. 😁
There's a lot of ice cream there! The most different for every taste.
Of course we didn't buy it then, but bought ice cream on the way back from another shop. This one was already closed (all shops close early on Friday). At that bus stop shop, we could buy 2 boxes of $9.
We bought one box for $5 in another store.
It was a good idea to go to the candy store while hiding from the strong sun and enjoying the view of a wide variety of sweets. 😃

Take care of yourself and be healthy!!
That was smart, indeed! What a brilliant idea! Although I have to admit, I was surprised by the freezers being outside in this extreme heat. Doesn't it make the air run using more power to keep it cool from the heat?
We don't have a plentiful supply of stores filled with confectionaries, but, there are some. Nowadays, everything is so expensive, and still nothing has backed off on the prices, that those stores carry other items or their hours of operation are cut.
Do you think the man gets a lot of people that come to his shop to keep cool? I am sure he doesn't mind, after all, it is deadly hot there! I think you got a great bargain for getting a box of ice cream for $5.00! I hope your heat calms down and you are able to walk about without worrying about heat stroke. Our air quality is not as good as usual, we are still experiencing some of the smoke from the Canadian fires.
Thank you for taking us along with you! Have a wonderful weekend!
#MarketFriday began as a way to reach out across the globe and learn about different cultures through their markets, especially local markets and farmers' markets, and eventually branched out and evolved over time from straight shopping to a cultural affair as it highlights how we differ and then again, how much we are alike. We have become a melting pot of culture, but it is still the Rituals, Festivals, food, architecture, and even your language/languages that separate us... Along with the fact that these things are normal for us. There are unwritten rules that rule our social behaviors. I see this as allowing for increased tolerance between cultures and nations, and opportunities to come together on an even playing ground. A strong culture can be beneficial to a country as it promotes unity, especially during a crisis, peaceful debate, and open dialogue. I have learned so much about all of you and it has been an amazing experience. I can only hope that learning about each other can help us work together for a peaceful world.
Thank you for being a part of #MarketFriday
oh oh oh the smoke from the fires is even worse than the heat. 🙈 I'm surprised you don't have many shops like this. 🙄 I thought you have a lot of them at every turn. It is a pity that you have sweets at a high price. Here we have prices for this are quite budgetary. yes, that store owner does not mind at all that people are saved from the heat in his store, especially if they are with children. in this case, they rarely manage to leave the store without a purchase. 😁 Thank you for visiting me my dear! take care of yourself and your health!
In town, there are some, but, if there were too many, the competition would be too steep. The grocery stores all have bakeries, so they have a plentiful supply of merchandise. They have a section dedicated to it, sometimes even tables and chairs.
I think everything is so expensive now, it might just be my impression. :)
We had more shops, but, with the length of Covid, a lot of businesses folded. They were privately owned and needed the business to survive.
I am always amazed at how many shops they have in Europe and Israel/Africa and Asia... we definitely lack for them!
I would go crazy seeing all the options. I have never been to such stores, we don't have any dedicated stores like that here. But I would definitely love to.
Good to see you have a great shopping day.
Wow! I thought there were stores like this everywhere. What a pity you don't have them. There are many such shops in my country. so I sometimes feel sorry for parents with children when they pass by them. 😁 have a nice week!
I can guess what it might feel like to pass by such a store with kids. My son would make me crazy. lol
😁😁😁
