New french supermarket

Hello everyone!!! Today is Friday, which means we will talk about our purchases on #MarketFriday by @dswigle (see details here: https://ecency.com/hive-196308/@dswigle/market-friday-lavender-fields-forever).
We finally returned home after two months of professional development courses and we were in for a surprise!

A new supermarket from some French company has opened near our house. You might be wondering what's so interesting about new grocery stores? The fact is that this is the first foreign company that opened a similar store in our country. Before that, this was simply not possible.

Imagine with what interest we went inside! There used to be an ordinary Israeli supermarket in this place and it was very interesting for us to compare them.

The room was of course renovated. It was very nice to be inside. At the entrance, as usual, vegetables and fruits were located. I didn't photograph it in its entirety.
Next were shelves with organic products. This is what interests me!

I saw a promotion to buy chocolate for only $ 2 and decided to buy this chocolate to taste.

At the very end they sold bread, baguettes, sweet pastries.

I liked that the labels indicated where the ingredients contained dairy products. It's important for me! At the same time, my husband went to the cheese freezer. This is what he wanted to see. He really liked French cheeses when we were in Paris.

The cheese selection was really great. But this refrigerator suits me better.

Very good selection and good prices dairy-free products. I expected the worst from the prices. Then I had to look for flour for some time. I didn't know which department she was in. As a result, the store employees showed me this.

Wow! I was shocked! I have never seen such a selection of different types of flour!
Due to lack of time, I did not have the opportunity to quietly wander between sections of the store. It was time for us to leave!

I was pleasantly surprised after this visit: the choice of products is excellent and the prices are quite tolerable, there are even good discounts. Before that, there was a rather expensive store here and we went for groceries to another one where it took about an hour. I will definitely come back here and take a closer look at everything! 😀

Take care of yourself and be healthy!!

I envy you that you have a french supermarket. I think there is only one French department store in Berlin in Germany. Certainly it was fun for you to explore there :) Have a nice weekend, @tali72!

thank you dear! Compared to local supermarkets, this one is much more interesting, but we wish there were more French products. It's amazing that there is only one such store in Berlin! 🙄

Hi Tali :) It's great that you can enjoy this supermarket and it even seems strange to me that it's the first in the area. Here in Argentina we have quite a few of this Carrefour chain and of all sizes: Carrefour Express (small stores in the neighborhoods), supermarkets (medium sizes where they also sell electrical appliances and household items) and even hypermarkets, with a food court and playground included. They are very common for us, even going to a Carrefour supermarket to look at the prices is considered a walk in itself 😅.

Thanks for sharing and I hope you can find good prices there. Greetings!

Wow!!! This is great!!! in Israel, until recently, not a single country could open its own store: the market was held only by local Israeli entrepreneurs and no one was allowed to enter. there is the concept of kosher and each product must go through the procedure for obtaining a kosher certificate. this is a very convenient excuse not to let goods from abroad into the country and trade only with your local ones. for us it is a great breakthrough that this chain of stores was able to break into the local market. have a nice weekend, dear!

Thank you for being part of #MarketFriday this week! It is always such a pleasure to have you. As you can see, I am running more than late here this week. For this, I'm so sorry. While I have read your market post (I have read them all!) I had some unexpected surgery that has me unable to finish most of them. While I am fine, the swelling, bruising, and healing have slowed me just a bit. I'll be good soon. Quite miserable until then!

I am happy to have read them all pf the posts and able to send out the upvotes. A partial win for me!
I truly appreciate all of the sharing of experiences and even more, when people visit others, starting a dialogue. This is what the vision of #MarketFriday was. The understanding for all.

#MarketFriday began as a way to reach out across the globe and learn about different cultures through their markets, especially local markets and farmers' markets, and eventually branched out and evolved over time from straight shopping to a cultural affair as it highlights how we differ and then again, how much we are alike. We have become a melting pot of culture, but it is still the Rituals, Festivals, food, architecture, and even your language/languages that separate us... Along with the fact that these things are normal for us. There are unwritten rules that rule our social behaviors. I see this as allowing for increased tolerance between cultures and nations, and opportunities to come together on an even playing ground. A strong culture can benefit a country as it promotes unity, especially during a crisis, peaceful debate, and open dialogue. I have learned so much about all of you; it has been an amazing experience. I can only hope that learning about each other can help us work together for a peaceful world.

Thank you for being a part of #MarketFriday
