A story from browns with a pink jacket and his buttons

Good Monday to all our creative community!!! I hope this week has been productive for you and that you are doing well!
I don’t have the opportunity to make a full-fledged post as usual, but I didn’t want to miss it and decided to write at least a short post. My friend brought me a small bag of clothes and said that someone gave it to her, but she does not wear clothes of this color (there was red and pink). She knew that I love these colors and therefore wanted me to look at this: maybe the clothes will suit me.
As I said, we often do this with friends: we exchange clothes with each other. One friend even created a group in the messenger, where we all write if we have clothes of good quality and condition that we don’t need and upload pictures so that others can see it and decide if it suits them.
It's really very convenient! 😀
That package included, among other things, a brown jacket with pink speckles and a bright pink lining.

I really liked this jacket and this is my size! But! When I began to examine it closely, but saw that all the buttons were sticky 😮
Everything! I haven't come across anything like this yet. My husband explained that there are coatings that become sticky over time and it is very difficult to remove. It was terrible! The buttons were disgusting to even touch. I just cut them off and threw them away and didn't even take a photo for you. They were nasty sticky brown buttons. 😐
To be honest, I was very surprised: who could give clothes in such a state to my friend? I realized that she was not looking at it closely, but simply saw a pink color and immediately put it aside. But the one who gave it to her, could not help but know about the condition of the buttons. 😕
The condition of the jacket itself was quite good, I washed it. At first I just wanted to buy new buttons. But then I came up with an idea about which I wrote yesterday here: https://ecency.com/hive-174301/@tali72/turning-black-buttons-into-pink
I decided to paint with acrylic paint the appropriate buttons for the jacket that I had in stock. 😀

I will not describe the whole process in detail. You can read about it if you check out my previous post. The photo above shows the stages of painting buttons. Finally got what I needed! 😀

I thought it would be great to sew on these buttons with pink thread. In my stocks there were only two options: light pink and almost burgundy.

In fact, I would have preferred something in between, but I didn't have that color. It seemed to me that a darker color would be better suited to the fabric of the jacket and chose this. Which of these colors would you choose? 🙄

Imagine that in place of these pink buttons there were boring brown and sticky buttons. 🙈😶

Instead of it I got a cool creative! 😁😁😁

To be honest, I really like this updated version of the jacket. And I'm very interested in what my girlfriend will say when she sees this! 😁😀
