Wild swimming pool, the river Białka | Pieniny Mountains 🇵🇱

avatar

I was looking for peace and quiet on a very hot day, I wanted to cool down. There are many open swimming pools that are easily accessible, but there are a lot of people in them.
Today I invite you to a photo report from a wild, rocky beach and a cold river.

The place is located close to the main road, it is easy to get there, 15 minutes walking we reach our destination. From a distance you can see that I won't be alone, there are some people here, but much less than in public bathing areas or swimming pools or thermal baths.

There is real diversity here. There are some meadows and grass to rest and lounging under trees or a rock. You can also relax lying on warm stones or wading your feet in shallow water. For the more brave (I chose this option) there is bathing in a cold river. It was an amazing experience, really cold water from the mountains on a hot hot day, you could feel a big difference in temperature, but after a few minutes you get used to it. You can't see it in the pictures, but the current in the middle of the river was very large. Several times he lightly grabbed me and threw me away on a bend in the river. At first I was scared, because it was quite deep and the water carried me strongly, but later it was really nice.

Leaving this magical and peaceful place, I took a few more photos. A beautiful landscape of a winding river, and in the distance a panorama of the Polish Tatra Mountains.

oh wow! this place looks perfect to cool down if you describe the water as it is and can definitely see the current coming from flow 😃 would be anxious to get drifted off but the dip is enticing 😄 thanks for sharing your wonderful pics form your trip!

The water was really very cold. Outside to the sun over 30 degrees celsius, and the water was probably about 10/12 degrees. There were a few people there (as you can see in the pictures), but few people were willing to dive into the cold (ice-cold) water. Well, maybe some children tried :) The river doesn't look like a rush, but after entering its middle (closer to this large stone) it was thrilling. There was nothing much you could do, you had to surrender to the current of the river and go out on a bend in the river. There was no point in wrestling with this current, you can get tired quickly. But you had to walk with the ground under your feet, then somehow you could stay on the water. Closer to the shore you could swim freely :)
Thanks for appreciating the trip!
