This house gained international fame after Rabindranath Tagore won the Nobel Prize. Currently this house has been converted into a museum. Rabindranath Tagore's personal belongings, literary works, paintings, photographs are kept here.

I felt this house deeply. The time we spent in this house, the whole time I was engrossed in thought. We had to store all the cameras,so could not take any pictures from the second floor up.

The experience on the second floor was mesmerizing. As we climb the stairs, the gentle melody of Rabindra Sangeet comes to our ears. That tune is playing all over the house. What a wonderful feeling.

On the second floor, the room on the left hand side was the dining room, adjacent to which was the kitchen, adjacent to the music room, Rabindranath's bedroom where he breathed his last is still decorated.

I was trying to feel this great poet in this house. I realized every nook and cranny of tTagore.se where Kavi Guru used to walk. And he was busy writing songs-poems-novels.

Oh wow! I'm a big fan of Tagore. I especially love his novel, The Home and the World. Thanks for showing us where he once lived. 😁
