Many years ago I went to a place in Sicily (Italy) called "Scala dei Turchi" (meaning: Stairs of Turks).

In the past Sicilians were afraid that the Ottoman Empire would invade Sicily through these rocks that were like stairs.

For this reason this place has nowadays this name.

The rock is completely white and the sand is made of clay, which is very healthy for your skin.
