The meaning of "Sindhoor"

Sindhoor

Hello and welcome back friends,
In today's topic we will talk about SINDHOOR.
Some others do spell it as SINDOOR, but to get the weight on the "H" in my language I do add it.

First you need to know what Sindhoor is.
Sindhoor is a vermilion, red powder that is applied to MARRIED women on the forehead as a line. Sindhoor is made from tumeric and some other things.
Vermilion is poisinious, but nowdays sindhoor is made of herbal substances and is safe in case you get some in you mouth.

Why do Indians apply Sindhoor?

At every Indian wedding this ceremony happens where the man applies Sindhoor to his wife. Sindhoor has the meaning that the woman is MARRIED. So don't flirt with women who has Sindhoor on there forehead.

Another reason is that Sindhoor gives the women body and cool energy flow.
So women won't get angry as fast.
In our country they say if you apply sindhoor every day, your man will live longer...
I don't know if it's just a myth or if it's true.
