PhotoFeed Contest - Wildlife Photography Round 147 - Oxen - by Sunscape

While traveling throughout Panama a few years back, I got to see this pair of Oxen pulling a cart full of sugar cane stalks. The driver was so friendly and didn't mind that I took photos of him on his journey.

I could tell that he was a hard-working man like most of the villagers in that small mountain town. Apparently, sugar cane is a huge staple for many of the farmers to make their living. I even got to go to one of the open firepits where they cook down the cane. It was quite an interesting process to witness.

I hope you enjoyed seeing these beautiful Oxen as much as I did on my visit to Panama.
