Fungi Friday - Mushrooms in the Garden - by Sunscape

When I was planting some annuals in the butterfly garden, I came across a few of these mushrooms growing around the base of the Hellebores. I've never seen this type of mushroom in any of my gardens, the entire time I've been here for over 30 years.

I don't know anything about wild mushrooms, but I found these to look really interesting. I even wondered if they were edible, not that I would take a chance, but they looked good enough to eat.
