Backyard Animals are so Deer! - by Sunscape
Since early spring I have been seeing the same family of deer visiting the yard from the woods behind my home. The female had two fawns in early summer and they still have some spots on them even now.
Here is the second one watching me very carefully from behind the pine tree. The first photo is of the twin who does not seem to be bothered by my taking photos of her.
This is the buck that I have seen traveling with the doe and the twins. I don't know if it is one of her offspring from last year or if it is the father. His horns are still in velvet as they continue to grow.
The deer like to graze in this little patch of tall grass at the edge of the woods. Then they can be seen just inside the treeline munching on the lowest leaves of the trees.
Even when I walk to the back of my yard to take photos of them, they do not seem alarmed in any way. Usually, they will just continue nibbling on the shrubbery.
On another day, I spotted one of the fawns at my birdfeeder eating some of the seed. I grabbed my camera and slowly walked out to take some photos.
After snacking on the seed the fawn decided that my blackberry bushes would be next. So I slowly walked behind him to get close enough for pictures. He did not seem to care that I was there but more interested in eating my plants.
After a few minutes of eating the ends of the berry branches he decided to head up the bank to the woods. I am not too far away from the fawn who keeps a curious eye on me the whole time.
I must have stayed a little bit too long next to the fence as his ears perked up and the next thing I know he is off to the middle of the woods to join his mother.
It is such a joy to get to see them appear in the yard every few days. They are growing so quickly now and soon their spots will be gone. I hope you enjoyed seeing the family of deer and thank you for stopping in today.

These cute deers catch my ❤
Deer that do not have horns on their heads. They are known as Maya deer in our region. To be honest, they are quite nice to look at and want to caress.
Sweet little faces, lovely family visiting regularly.
They really are adorable to see and watch, especially the fawns.
Little ones always wonderful to watch interacting with each other and Mum.
It's so lovely to have such amazing wildlife in your backyard. The deers are beautiful creatures. Is this the only family or are there more in the woods ?
The deer are really beautiful, and yes I have seen other deer come by too. This group however is the most regular to my yard.

Thank you @doriana for your nice comment. It makes me happy that you enjoyed seeing the deer family.
Great photos! It’s amazing how acclimated some animals become. Last night I went out to pick an onion and the rabbits were having a convention under the raspberries. They were not much alarmed as I came and went, even though it was less than 8’.
Awe, the rabbits were enjoying some of your garden for sure. I love seeing all the creatures and you are right they do get used to us. I think they come to trust us when we leave them alone and give them space.
