Hello everyone, yesterday was another day full of missions. Starting in the evening, we had to close the restaurant and travel straight into Trang city to attend the funeral of my husband's relative, which was being held at the market. The first night of the funeral was filled with peace and warmth. We spent quite a while there paying our respects and offering our support. After our missions were done, we needed something warm to fill our stomachs, as hunger was starting to attack.

🚦 Searching for noodles in the vibrant city center
We intended to stop at our usual roadside restaurant in the market, a delicious beef noodle shop. But what we found was an especially lively atmosphere. Trang Province is currently in the midst of the traditional boat procession, or boat pulling ceremony, a major merit-making event after the end of Buddhist Lent, which brings with it a much larger number of people traveling and spending than usual.

The excitement of the festival meant that the noodle shop we'd planned to eat at was so packed that there were no seats available. My family and I had to patiently wait for the previous diners to leave. Although our legs were a bit tired, it was a highlight of dining out on a festive night. We finally secured a small roadside table for three, with a view of the passing traffic.

As soon as we got our table, we immediately ordered our desired dish. I hadn't had this dish in a long time, so I ordered a large bowl of Yen Ta Fo, which I longed for, with its sweet and sour pink sauce and generous toppings of crispy squid, meatballs, and thin noodles.

My daughters also ordered the special yellow noodles with meatballs, which are always his favorite.
With so many customers, the wait for our food was longer than usual. We waited about 20 minutes. My husband noticed the long wait and went to get a cold drink to quench his thirst before the noodles arrived. Sitting in the nighttime atmosphere, filled with the chatter of people and the neon lights of various shops, the wait wasn't boring at all.

🤩 The joy of perfectly balanced flavors! When the waiter brought all three bowls of noodles, the sight was worth the wait. Each bowl was loaded with toppings and looked incredibly appetizing. We all immediately started seasoning our noodles to our liking. The condiments were arranged on the table, ready for us to create the perfect flavor to our liking.
My Yen Ta Fo was the best. The Yen Ta Fo soup was incredibly flavorful, perfectly balanced without any additional seasoning. I added a little chili and lime juice to achieve the spiciness I wanted. My husband's noodles and my daughter's yellow noodles were also both rated as perfect. We ate every bowl, every drop, and it was a satisfying evening filled with a little joy.

After finishing our meal, it was time to call the staff to calculate the bill. The total was only 145 baht. The price was excellent considering the amount received and the truly delicious taste. Stopping to recharge with delicious noodles in the middle of Trang city on the night of the Boon Lak Phra festival was a perfect way to end the day, both full of merit and truly satisfying the stomach.
