🛒✨ Stockpiling Mission: Big Shopping Spree at Makro, Getting Ready for the New Year

Today, I'd like to share a short but joyful adventure and an important mission: a big grocery shopping spree to replenish missing supplies and prepare for daily life and the upcoming New Year's festivities.

🚗 A Journey to a Treasure Trove of Ingredients
On a pleasant afternoon, my husband and I started our trusty car and headed to Makro Mall, our main destination for this shopping spree. Our shopping list was incredibly long!
The items we urgently needed included: bathroom supplies: bar soap, liquid soap, shampoo, conditioner, mouthwash, and personal hygiene products.
Laundry supplies: laundry detergent or fabric softener.
Kitchen supplies: various seasonings that were running low, and fresh ingredients.
Upon arriving at the mall, I took some pictures of the lovely scenery along the way. Once we parked, my husband took on the task of pushing the large shopping cart into the mall, officially beginning our shopping mission.

☕🍖 Exploring and hunting for ingredients across different zones, we start with my favorite zone: the dry goods zone. For coffee lovers like us, the first thing we grab is fresh coffee beans for brewing in the morning. Followed by ingredients to add sweetness and saltiness to the kitchen, such as condensed milk, sugar, and salt.

Next, we headed to the bathroom section. My husband and I carefully selected the products we use regularly, including shampoo, fragrant liquid soap, and other cleaning products. Importantly, we needed to stock up because these items run out very quickly.
Once our bathroom supplies were fully stocked in the cart, we moved on to the main focus of our mission: the meat and frozen food section. This section had a wide variety of meats and a full range of frozen goods. I bought key ingredients for the week's cooking, such as chicken for healthy meals and pork for various stir-fries and deep-fries.

Next to the meat section is the seafood section. My eyes were drawn to the fresh, beautiful, and appetizing shrimp, so I couldn't resist buying a few to make a delicious dish for a special occasion.

🥦🍊 Freshness from the Garden and Dairy Products After finishing our meat shopping, we pushed the cart to the fruit and vegetable section, which offered a refreshing and colorful selection. I chose about three types of fresh vegetables necessary for cooking, while my husband wasted no time in picking fruit to please our beloved daughter. I saw him select oranges and apples, which our daughter particularly likes.
Next, we headed to the beverage and dairy product section to buy fresh milk and yogurt for breakfast and a healthy snack.

🛍️ We couldn't forget the essential ingredients and chocolates for our beloved child. It seemed we had all the main items on the list, so we pushed the cart to the checkout counter. But along the way, my eyes caught sight of beautifully decorated gift baskets, perfect for the New Year. I quickly snapped some photos of their beauty as a memento. Although the prices were quite high, they made for excellent gift ideas.

My husband, who never misses a sweet treat, grabbed a piece of chocolate for our daughter as a final reward after our shopping spree.
Suddenly, I realized we were missing some essential kitchen ingredients. So, I hurried back to the condiment section to grab what we needed, such as garlic and three or four other basic seasonings: oyster sauce, vegetable oil, and seasoning powder. Once I had everything, I quickly grabbed the small basket and followed my husband to the counter.

🍦 Ending with a sweet treat: While my husband was queuing to buy groceries, I spotted an ice cream display next to the counter, selling ice cream for only 8 baht per stick. While the cashier was ringing us up, my husband went to order two yogurt-flavored ice cream sticks so we could enjoy a refreshing treat while waiting. It was a great way to rest and recharge.
Finally... our big shopping spree was over. We wheeled the shopping cart, full of supplies, to the car to load all the ingredients and supplies, and drove home feeling satisfied.
