👩🌾 Restoring Agricultural Livelihoods: The Day Officials Visited the Area After the Flood Receded 🌳

👩🌾 Restoring Agricultural Livelihoods: The Day Officials Visited the Area After the Flood Receded 🌳
Hello, dear friends!
Yesterday was another exciting and meaningful day for our family. After my husband and I submitted our flood damage compensation application to the Trang Provincial Agricultural Office, the Provincial Agricultural Organization finally scheduled a site visit to inspect the severe flooding damage at our Anatta farm.

🏡 Preparing for an Important Morning
I'm incredibly excited about this relief effort and the fact that government officials are coming to provide assistance. This means I have to rush through my morning tasks within a limited time. It starts with quickly preparing and having breakfast (as pictured with hot coffee and bread), then I quickly get to food for the animals on our cozy little farm 🏡🏠, clean the house, and take care of my mother-in-law. This took quite a while! Even though we were racing against time, the hope of receiving help and support motivated me to do everything without giving up. ✌🏻✨

📞 An Unexpected Appointment ❤️🥰
Just before noon, the long-awaited phone rang. It was the lovely and kind deputy village head. She called to arrange for us to meet with officials at her house. The assistance and facilitation provided by the beautiful deputy village head were truly admirable, as she acted as a bridge between the villagers and various government agencies during this crisis. 💞❤️

My husband and I hurried to the meeting point in our trusty motorbike. Upon arrival, we saw the officials' car waiting. Of course, the road to our farmhouse was quite rough and located deep inside. Concerned and wanting to ensure a smooth operation, my husband and I offered to give the officials a ride in our motorbike to the farmhouse, while the deputy village headman briskly followed on his motorcycle.

📝 Assessing the damage in an 8.5 rai area.
Upon arriving at Ananta Garden, everyone was ready to get to work: myself, my husband, officials from the agricultural office, and the deputy village headman. We began our mission of seriously surveying and assessing the damage. 🙏❤️

The sight was heartbreaking. Many types of trees we planted had died in rows because they were submerged in water for several days. Officials meticulously counted and inspected the damage, especially the teak trees that we planted about 4 years ago. Some had even reached a good size, but they were all dead, leaving only the trunks, because the waterlogged soil caused all the leaves to fall off. The officials documented the damage with photographs and recorded it in their logbook.
In addition, other crops were also damaged, such as pineapples, peppercorns, fruit trees, and oil palm trees that I had recently replanted. These also died from the flooding (as seen in the photos of the damaged plantations). Our total damaged area is 8.5 rai, which is quite significant for small-scale farmers like us.

👏 Personal Impression:
I greatly admire and appreciate the work of this government official team. They thoroughly went to the area, meticulously surveyed the damage suffered by the villagers, and used notebooks and mobile phones to record every detail. Their dedication is a crucial source of encouragement, reassuring the villagers that they are not being abandoned during this crisis.
🤝 Mission accomplished and hope passed on:
After touring the gardens and thoroughly assessing the damage, it was time for the team from the Trang Provincial Agricultural Office to travel to other areas that still needed inspection. I understand the arduous task they face.

Although we don't know how much the damage will be assessed by officials and how much compensation we will receive, the fact that various organizations are providing such full support and care for the people is already very encouraging and heartwarming. We will continue to do our part in restoring our garden to its lush greenery once again. 🙏🏻❤️✌🏻🌳🌱🐟🏡
For today, I must take my leave.
See you again next time, my friends. Thank you for following and supporting me. Thank you very much.
